"Excuse me?"
Shock would be an understatement for what Jayashikha was feeling after seeing police officers standing there with a warrant of the arrest of her husband Chandrapratap and Chaitanya.
"Yes mam. We have an arrest warrant for Mr. Chandrapratap Singh Duhaan and Mr. Chaitanya Singh Duhaan." ACP Gagan waved the warrant in his hands.
"But, if I may know, why are you arresting my Baba sa and Bhai sa Hukum?" Aalisha asked.
"Your father and brother has been accused of the sudden death of Apoorva Singh Rajawat, late wife of Parthveer Singh Rajawat." Gagan informed her.
A ringing silence spread in the whole hall. Chandrapratap and Chaitanya were looking at each other with nervous faces, while Jayashikha and Aalisha looked at them with unbelieving eyes. Latika had gone pale as a sheet.
"Wh..what!? How can you say that ACP!? My father and my brother can never do such thing!" Aalisha yelled, breaking in tears in the end.
"We are not lying, Mam. Mr. Rajawat has filed a case against Mr and Mr Duhaan for the death of his ex wife Apoorva." Gagan said, handing her the warrant. Aalisha's eyes widened as they ran over the words and accusations written on the page.
"How... Baba sa? Bhai sa? What am I reading?" Aalisha asked.
Aalisha never have thought that her beloved father and brother could do this. She knew something about her brother which no one knows. And that's why, her heart was beating fast and her mind had went blank.
"I don't believe this!" Jayashikha yelled. "My husband and son are innocent!" She cried, breaking into tears.
"That will be proven in court, if that is true. Mam. Now please move aside, we have to arrest them." Gagan said. He already had more errands to run and was stuck here.
"Alright then. Arrest us." Chaitanya shocked all of them.
"What are you saying Bhai sa?" Aalisha said.
"When we are saying that we didn't killed Mrs. Rajawat, and they aren't listening, so what we can do?" Chaitanya said. "It's better if we prove them wrong in the court." His eyes hardened and his face turned into an scowl.
"That must be proved in the court Mr. Duhaan." Gagan scowled. He hated the fact that he has to breath the same air as Chaitanya. After all the information Gagan had read, his hatred grew tenfold. The young Duhaan scion was a womanizer, and a criminal too. Gagan and Chaitanya held a very strong eye contact, burning with hatred and annoyance towards each other.
"I do not wish to enforce you both, Sire. Please come with us." Gagan said quitely.
"Dare you or any of your men touch my father." Chaitanya replied in equally quite and dangerous voice.
"Then come." Gagan replied coldly, and went out, followed by Chaitanya and Chandrapratap.
"Baba sa!" Latika cried as she saw her brother and father going out.
"You better stay inside." Aalisha warned her, glaring at her deathly and followed her mum out.
The two Duhaan ladies watched as Chaitanya and Chandrapratap sat inside Police Van and the van drove off outside the Duhaan Palace.
