Chaeryeong sent you one last text before locking her phone and handing it over to a staff member before she and the girls took their seats.

It's been a long but exciting day and they've still got a lot to get done. The comeback has just begun, so there's a lot to get done.

Today is a day full of interviews but Chaeryeong doesn't mind. She enjoys them, for the most part.

"Hi, girls!" The interviewer smiled politely and the girls greeted her just as kindly. "It's so nice to finally be able to sit down and talk to you. You're such busy girls these days!"

"Yeah, we are." Ryujin agreed. "But it's okay. We're having the time of our lives."

"I bet you are," the lady grinned and proceeded to ask them a few questions involving the music and choreography.

But then, she switched to a different subject, catching the girls off guard.

"Are any of you in relationships at the moment?"

Everyone but Chaeryeong shook their heads while she just nodded, forcing a smile.

It's common knowledge at this point.

Your relationship has been public for the last few weeks after someone caught you out about one night and got a few photos of some PDA being exchanged before posting them for the world to see.

It was a huge invasion of privacy but Chaeryeong has handled it well, as have you.

She likes the fact that she doesn't have to keep you a secret anymore.

That she can, somewhat, live normally by taking you places and giving you kisses in public without worrying about anything anymore.

However, at the same time, she is very protective of you.

She loves you very much and has made that very obvious, just like the fact that she wants to talk about you on her own terms.

She doesn't want to be put on the spot like this. It's just uncomfortable.

"Chaeryeong! Yeah, I heard about your girlfriend. Her name is y/n, right?"

"Yeah." Chaeryeong smiled.

"You seem to be very in love. People have captured some pictures of you lately, strolling through town and going on cute little dates."

"Yeah. I love her very much."

"Is she the one?"

"Yes, definitely." Chaeryeong smiled.

"Oh." The lady said, looking anything but happy for Chaeryeong.

"Something wrong with that?" Chaeryeong asked, folding her arms over her chest.

"Look, between us, I think you could do a lot better."

The girls were shocked by the woman's words and attitude, staring at her in disbelief.

"Excuse me?"

"She's just not that pretty, you know? And I'm sure it's caused a lot of problems between you and your members - your relationship being so public and all."

"No. No problems at all. We adore y/n." Yeji said and Chaeryeong smiled over Yeji standing up for you.

"Isn't she annoying, though? She seems to be very annoying."

"Not at all. She's absolutely amazing and we're all very close with her." Lia said.

"Isn't it hard seeing your friend dating someone like her, though? She seems like she really craves attention. Isn't it had to deal with her during comebacks? Even more so than usual, I mean?"

"Alright, that's it. I've had enough!" Chaeryeong said, her voice raised and the girls jumped at the sound. "Look, you don't know my girlfriend-"

"Lucky me, am I right?" The lady laughed and the girls all shook their heads, appalled by how she was acting and talking. "Chaeryeong, I'm sorry but-"

"Don't! Don't start." She warned angrily. "You have absolutely no right to speak about my girlfriend that way. Everything you have said about her tonight is disgusting and untrue. You should be so ashamed of yourself!"

"I'm sorry, I just don't like her."

"And I didn't ask, nor do I care. No one does. You were supposed to ask us questions about our music and upcoming activities but instead, you sit there and talk badly about my girlfriend!? This is my life, not yours. Why do you care so much about my private life, anyways? Are you that lonely? Are you that bitter? Do you really have nothing better to do?"

The interviewer went wide-eyed, unable to believe how Chaeryeong was speaking to her.

"You're older than all five of us yet act like a twelve-year-old. I don't know if you're just jealous that y/n and I are so in love, if you're jealous over how happy we are, or if you're just so pathetic that you have nothing else to do with your life. But you should go see someone about it because it's not normal to care about my life that much."

The girls all held back their grins, loving the way Chaeryeong was standing up for herself and for you.

"And for the record, I can't do better than y/n. There is no one better. A lot of people love her, our fans adore her. It's only people like you that have nothing better to do with their lives that care so much and try to bring her down. You have no right to tell me what to do. Get a life, mind your own business and next time you go to call my girlfriend ugly - take a look in the mirror first. Acting as if you're better than her when you won't ever be. You have issues. Get them checked."

Chaeryeong stood up and stormed across the room, the girls following as they laughed, unable to hold it back.

When they were by Chaeryeong's side, they threw their arms around her to give her a big hug, making her smile from ear to ear.

"Good for you for saying everything you said back there," Yuna said, squeezing her tightly.

"And don't you dare apologize for anything if anyone brings it up. You did something a lot of idols wish they could do. We're proud of you." Yeji grinned.

"Now, go call your girl. We can tell you're dying to." Lia teased and Chaeryeong happily gave you a call, making sure you were okay as people started to talk about everything that just went down.
