When the door opened to the girls' dressing room backstage at Inkigayo, you expected to come face to face with your girlfriend since you texted her that you'd be taking the day to support her and the girls on one of the last few performances for their newest comeback.

But instead of seeing Chaeryeong standing there, you saw Yeji and watched her eyes sparkle the second she saw you.

"Oh, hey, Y/N!"

She threw her arms around you to hug you and you didn't waste any time hugging her back.

After Chaeryeong, she gives the best hugs you've ever had.

"You look pretty."

"Thank you!" She smiled brightly, cheeks heating up slightly from your compliment. "You're here just in time. We go on stage in a few minutes."

"I know, I'm excited to watch you all. I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to come to see as many performances as I wish I could. But the promotions for the comeback are ending soon and I had to come today."

"That's so sweet. We're all happy to have you here. Come on, come inside."

You followed her into the dressing room and closed the door behind you.

"I never had the chance to ask you this but we've all been so curious as to what your favorite song from gold is," Yeji said as the stylist came over to fix her hair.

"It's tough but imaginary friend is just so beautiful."

"It is, isn't it? It seems to be very important and special for MIDZY which is great because it's just as special to us. You must be excited to see the performance of it today."

"Very!" You excitedly answered and she giggled.

You chatted for a few more minutes about the comeback and made sure to praise her just as much as you have Chaeryeong and the other girls for how amazing they've done for this comeback.

You've never understood why people were ever so hateful towards them over the last couple of years.

To you, ITZY always has some of the best and most meaningful songs in all of kpop and they work so hard that it blows you away.

But this one is incredibly special with Lia back for it and the girls just seeming to be so proud and so genuinely happy with everything they're doing and accomplishing.

Yeji kept giggling and occasionally blushing from your compliments and praise.

You, of course, didn't mean anything behind it other than just being a supportive friend.

But your girlfriend wasn't very happy regardless.

Maybe it wasn't so much from what you were saying but rather that you were paying so much attention to her friend.

You've been here for five or so minutes now and she's just standing there, waiting for you to notice her.

Sure, you came to support all five of them.

But you're her girlfriend... why is Yeji getting so much more attention than she is?

Chaeryeong couldn't help but wonder that nor could she help but pout as she stood there and waited for you to look over at her.

At some point, you had to... right?

She waited another minute or so before you finally turned your head and saw her across the room.

"Hey, baby!" You gleefully said before going over to her.

You went to wrap your arms around her but she didn't let you.

Instead, she pouted at you and folded her arms over her chest.

"Now you see me? I felt invisible there for a few minutes."

"I'm sorry, baby. I was just talking to Yeji, that's all."

"I saw." She mumbled and looked away from you. "Talking to her more than me. She gets more attention from my own girlfriend than I do."

"Oh, now you're just being silly." You teased before wrapping your arms around her. "I love you. You know that, don't you?"

"Maybe." She said, shrugging her shoulders.

You laughed before hugging her a little tighter.

"I love you so much."

"You do?"

You nodded and kissed her lips softly.

"More than Yeji?"

"What do you mean more than Yeji? Yes, of course! You're my girlfriend." You giggled.

"I'm just making sure. You seemed pretty close to her for a moment there. You didn't even notice me standing here, just impatiently waiting for you to look at me."

"I'm sorry, cutie."

You kissed the corners of her lips and then kissed her face until she was smiling from ear to ear.

"There's that smile. I'm forgiven now, right? You know that I love you more than anything?"

"Yes and yes." She said before kissing your lips again. "I love you too much to stay mad at you for too long."

You wanted to melt into her lips and never let her go.

However, the second they touched, someone was coming over to tell Chaeryeong it was time to get ready to go on stage.

"Go ahead, superstar. I'll be here watching and cheering you on."

"Okay." She said, holding onto your hand until she had no choice but to let go. "I love you."

"I love you too!" You shouted before grinning, glad she knew that she was your one and only, no matter what.
