Third Person POV
A crackling voice came through the radio, "Is he saying anything?""Not a word" The fiery red head replied, she could tell that the director wouldn't be happy with it in the slightest but he wouldn't surprised either. "Just get him here. We're low on time." There was then a crackle over the radio signalling the director signing off.
"I don't like it"
"What? Rock of ages giving up so easily?"
"I don't remember it being that easy. This guy packs wallop"
"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow, what's your thing? Pilates?"
"What?"
"It's like callisthenics. You might have missed a couple things from, you know, doing time as a Capsicle" At this the older man's face hardened ever so slightly and the mood between the two men shifted completely.
"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in" Interrogated the man in blue. "Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you." Then all around the jet there crackles and zaps of lightning.
"Where's this coming from?" The woman from the front spoke up, she knew fine well that the jet could handle a strike, but the fact that none of it had shown up on her jets radar's before now, that was what felt off to her. If the radar's weren't working properly, what else wasn't? She was far too proud to voice any of her thoughts until her thoughts started making sense to her first so she kept quiet for now.
"What's the matter? Are you scared of a little lightning?"
"I'm not overly fond of what follows" Just as if the man in green had summoned it, two large thuds were heard from the roof. They shook the jet and everyone on boards eyes's darted upwards towards the source of the noise. Slight issue, none of them could see through solid objects.
After a second of nothing everyone sprang into action, the Captain ran for his shield, Stark reached for his helmet and Miss Romanoff took a deep breath and prepared herself for whatever the hell was coming her way.
For some reason Mr. Stark apparently saw that the best option was to open the rear hatch on the jet which then created an entrance for whoever or whatever it was that caused the banging. For a genius he sure as hell was dumb. Rogers saw this and shouted, "What are you doing!?"
Thud. Two thuds to be more precise, but because they were so in sync with one another and due to the crackling thunder outside and because of the jet's engines it was hard to distinguish.
A man dressed in silver and red armour landed on the hatch and walked forward towards Stark whilst a girl with braided raven black hair dressed in silver and black armour stood up from where she had landed and simply stayed still.
Mira's POV
Thor stood up and walked over towards an oddly shaped red and gold creature and punched him with Mjolnir. "Ouch" Is all I could think. I simply stood on the hatch still waiting for the fight to be over, sadly it wasn't a very entertaining or long one.
With the man-like-shape creature knocked over Thor simply grabbed my brother and pulled him free of his restraints. He grabbed Loki by the neck and dove off of the jet, I was about to follow them when it remembered the red creature, so, not wanting to make any unnecessary enemies I shouted back, "APOLOGIES!" With that I dove off the jet following my brothers.
I landed and rolled forward to shield some of the impact from my body. When I stood up I heard Loki groaning and, laughing? "Where is the Tesseract?"
"I missed you too" Thor started to shout at Loki and that was my queue to zone out of whatever they were saying. I stood off to the side and sat down on some of the rocks behind me and stared at my brothers. The first thought in my head was that Loki was actually alive.
The morning that Sif had come running into the gardens truly was shocking. When she came I was sitting up in the tree writing in my journal when she had began rambling about how my brother was alive and was slaughtering midgaurdians.
Truth be told I actually thought it was one of Thor's ways of getting back at me and that he was playing a joke of sorts. However, Father did make the right move in sending Sif because she was always far too proud to involve herself in any more of a sibling jokes.
I was pulled violently from the memory as Thor and Loki began shouting at each other, instead of simply hearing them talk and shout I began listening to them.
"You come home" Thor choked out, idiot, shouldn't have zoned out, he sounded like a weak little child pleading and begging and yet here I was just completely caught up in my thoughts. "I don't have it" Loki replied smugly.
That struck a nerve. Of course he had it, of corse he had a home. Yes family's fight, of corse there's always that crazy Uncle of the family who everyone despises, and yes in our case it was our Father but what should that matter? He grew up there, he still had Thor, he still had Mother, he still had me.
I looked at him with a sympathetic smile from where I was now standing behind him, it saddened me that Loki did not see things the way I did and that he thought that family was determined by blood.
"Blood of the covenant is thicker than water of the womb"
The phrase swam around in my head, I had read it in one of the poem books on Jane's shelf when she had brought me and Thor back to her house. I wasn't quite sure how I even remembered it but the phrase was perfect. It summed everything up perfectly, it made no sense and perfect sense. Whilst Loki's words had stirred emotions of sadness and sympathy in me, he had simply fuelled Thor's rage.
"You need the cube to bring me home but I've sent it off I know not where"
"You listen well brother" But before Thor could continue he was cut off as something grabbed him. So now I had two options, go help Thor who was most likely to be in imminent danger, or, I could stay here with my brother and 'chat' and stall him to make sure he stayed where he was and not run off again.
Thor was all muscle and no brains so if it came down to it I'm sure he would be fine, and if not, well at least I still had one brother. "I'm listening" Loki said to nobody and I burst out laughing, "Mirabella. I forgot Asgard's perfect little princess was still here"
What the hell was he on about? He's always hated Thor, we always hated Thor together but this, this was something else. In truth in Loki's absence I had actually grown quite close to Thor but Loki didn't need to know that for now.
The odd thing was the use of my full name, then Loki turned round to face me. A grin like one I've never seen before was spread across his face but his eyes, his eyes were what caught me. They looked brighter yet somehow there was not a trace of life in them. They were cold and unnerving.
This wasn't my Loki, whatever happened while he was away hadn't changed him, it had took him
