As we continued running I grabbed a loose piece of metal with my right hand and then grabbed Natasha pulling her into the side with my left. I threw the piece of metal forward so that it clunked on it's way down the walk way leading the beast towards it instead of the two of us.

We ducked down low and edged forward between pipes hiding and staying completely silent. The quietness of everything was unsettling, not even the beats monstrous breaths could be heard now, well that was until it roared inches from our faces.

Spit landed all of my face and I quickly used my jacket sleeve to wipe it off in disgust completely forgetting about the whole incredibly real possibility of being torn limb from limb by the monster.

Thankfully Natasha shot the pipe above our heads so that whatever type of gas the pipe was carrying poured out coating us in a think fog. In around a second when I came back to my senses I began running for my life trying desperately to catch up to Agent Romanoff.

She turned left down yet another walkway so of corse I followed, why did awful things always happen on walkways? Odin's vault, now this and I would place a sizeable wager on the fact that it would happen again. As I was thinking all of this I found myself and Agent Romanoff back handed and thrown across the room.

I crashed firmly into the wall, dropped and then landed firmly on the floor. I did not even have a second of peace before the pain washed over me, my entire body felt ten times heavier and my head felt even worse.

The familiar feeling of burning in my throat rose from my chest to the back of my mouth whilst my ears where simply ringing. The cold floor underneath me was a comfort to my sweaty body. I lifted my head slightly to the side to see the beast slowly and ominously towering over me.

I let out a weak smile and sighed, I closed my eyes expecting a new wave of pain but it never came, I didn't dare open my eyes again fearing that the beast was simply waiting for a reaction from me, hence I stayed perfectly still not willing to give any reaction.

I stayed like that calmly lying there curled up with my knees tucked into my chest for around 30 seconds. I could hear Natasha's heaving breaths next to me, the repetitiveness was oddly calming, "Kid?" She asked shaking my shoulder lightly, "I'm here" I whispered out sleepily, in truth I craved sleep but I didn't feel as if now was the right moment.

I turned my head to face her and gave a weak smile, she raised her hand to her ear and talked into it, "This is Agent Romanoff. I copy" Her voice was shaky just like the rest of her but with one last look down at me she stood up and ran off to Odin knows where.

I stumbled up from where I had lay moments ago and made my way towards Loki's cell, who knows if anyone was there, and yes I may look like death but who knows, I may be of some assistance.

As I ran down the corridors bashing off the walls and feeling awfully dizzy I spotted Thor running in the same direction opposite me, as we arrived at the door to Loki's containment cell, the glass door began opening. Thor shouted but it was too late, he was already charging forwards I tried to grab him to hold him back, even in my extremely disadvantaged state I could still see it was just an illusion.

Thor charged forwards and I was grabbed by the neck from behind me. "Are you ever not going to fall for that?" My brother asked Thor from behind me "I wouldn't hold to much hope brother" I loudly whispered out, my brain felt as though it had been crushed into a thousand pieces and was trying to sew itself back together but failing miserably.

At my words Loki's grip around my neck tightened ever so slightly, at seeing this Thor threw Mjolnir towards the glass making a small crack, yet the whole cage shook. Pulling me with him, or more accurately, dragging me with him, Loki walked backwards.

"The humans think us immortal, should we test that?" Test it? How would Loki test it? Ohhhh. He was going to try and kill Thor and possibly me, finally I was beginning to understand what it felt to be like Thor, never in my life had been this slow.

Then it actually occurred to me that Loki was going to try and kill our brother and I was about seventy five percent sure he would do the same with me, not that it would take much given my current state. I tried to begin struggling against his grip but my body desperately tried to fight off any movement that my broken brain was telling it to do.

All the better for Loki I suppose. A large grunting sound that I couldn't quite place in the room came from somewhere around me, "Move away please, and put the girl down" From behind me I could tell that Loki was grinning, I didn't need to see his face to know that, "As you wish" He replied calmly, from the way he was talking I could tell that he was smiling.

I was then thrown away from him towards the Agent's feet, as I lifted my head up I saw that it was Agent Coulson, thank the AllFathers. "You like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent the destroyer." Carefully Agent Coulson stepped over me, moving closer to something or further away from something, at this point who knows. "Even I don't know what it does. Do you wanna find out?"

Then there was a loud groan, a thud from somewhere a bit further away in the room and then Agent Coulson was sitting next to me with a red mark in the middle of his chest. A flow of wind scooped the loose hair that had fallen out of my braid up into the air. The current of air was satisfying, it was cooling and refreshing compared to everything else I was feeling.

"You're going to lose"

"Am I?"

"It's in your nature" I could hardly make the sounds out, I could hear them perfectly but understanding them was a different matter all together. "Your heroes are scattered. Your floating fortress falls from the sky. Where is my disadvantage?" All while the second voice was talking the was a slow and steady thud sound every second. "You lack conviction"

"I don't think I'm.." The second voice was cut off by what sounded to be another explosion, I brought my arms up to cover my head and tucked my knees further into my chest, Odin almighty it hurt. "So that's what it does"

As if the blast had just woken me up I remembered Coulson and his injury, I painfully and slowly crawled slightly closer to him and tried to put my hand over his open wound. Come on Mira, you haven't tried this since Jotunheim where it did absolutely nothing but it's worth a shot.

I focused all my energy into closing the wound despite having very little left I kept going. Then finally the familiar surge of energy went through my body and immediately began draining out, transferring into the Agent sitting before me.

Everything infront of me began to turn into simple blended blobs of colours, nothing was making sense any more, footsteps were echoing all around me but I was pretty sure there was no one else in the room. But Thor was still there wasn't he i, it was just him, but why did I feel like there wasn't anyone else?

The thuds only got louder. Louder and louder, more sounds added their way into the horrendous mix that played in my head.

I wanted it to stop. For everything just to stop. For Coulson to stop bleeding. For the sounds to stop. For this pain to stop. For everything to just stop. A black wisp that looked like the directors coat flew infront of my vision before the colour absorbed my vision, everything went black.
