"Let me handle this. Heimdall" Loki greeted
"You are not dressed warmly enough"
"I'm sorry?"
"You think that you can deceive me?"
"You must be mistaken" That's when Loki was cut off but Thor
"Enough! Heimdall may we pass?"
"Never." Oh great, just fabulous, we can't even make it to the bifrost to get there. "Has an enemy slipped my watch until this day." Heimdall continued, I let out a sigh of relief. Asgardians do love to add lots of pauses in when they are speaking do they not? "I wish to know how that happened"
"Tell no one where we have gone until we have returned, do you understand?" With that Thor walked passed Heimdall, I walked forward so that I stood next to Loki. "What happened? Silver tongue turned to led?" Volstagg asked as he walked past the two of us.
I scoffed, "Ignore him, there's no use for any of this when it comes to Heimdall, although I dare say I have a feeling that I am beginning to give you a run for your money brother." I smiled up at him, "You taught me well." He let out a sigh, it almost looked regretful, "Too well" He said and gave me a sad smile.
We all stood in front of Heimdall's platform and faced to where the bifrost would be in a few seconds. Heimdall began to say something but I couldn't hear over the crackling of the lightning in the observatory. That was when I heard the end of what he was saying, "If your return threatens the safety of Asgard the bifrost will remain closed, and you will be left to die on the cold wastes of Jotenheim."
I looked up at Heimdall to see if he was joking but as always he looked deadly serious. "Could you not just leave it open for us?" Volstagg asked, "To leave the bridge open would unleash to full power of the bifrost and destroy Jotenheim with you upon it."
"I have no plans to die today."
"None do"
"He beat me to it by one second" I mumbled under my breath and see Sif give me a proud little chuckle.
Heimdall opened the bifrost and we were all sucked into it. Although I will never admit I have always disliked the bifrost, being flung across the nine realms at high speeds, not really my cup of tea.
"We should not be here" Hogun stated. "No shit" I replied. "Let's move"
We moved just as Thor had commanded, by the Gods I hated having to listen to him.
"How much of the magic I taught you do you remember?" Loki whispered
"Why are you asking that now?"
"Answer the question Mirabella." Full name, someone's in trouble.
"The duplicating thing, the dagger thing and just the normal illusions."
"And your other powers?"
"All up to scratch, now why do you ask?" Loki chose to ignore my question, and walked ahead but there was another one I hadn't asked him, how did he know about my other powers? The only people who knew about them were Mother, Father and Eir, but Eir was sworn to secrecy. Well come to think of it Heimdall probably knew too but he wouldn't say anything.
I have always hated what I have been goddess of, Beauty, Love and medicine. The beauty and love thing, I despise, rather off brand for me. It's like Loki being the God of honesty and Thor the God of politeness. Yes I may look the part but my personality, well that is something different entirely. Yet somehow I ended up with them.
Medicine though, that's where it gets interesting. Well, sort of. I've always had a thing with knowledge, knowledge on how to help someone and just in general so that's part of the parcel really. It wasn't until a few years ago now I learned of my ability's. If something or someone is injured I can heal them to a certain extent. For example if a bird has a broken wing I can fix that no problem, or if someone has a cut, I can do that without batting an eyelash.
