"Well?" His voice boomed now, despite still flinching at the volume of his voice I was thankful we were outside and not in a throne room where his voice would have echoed around us. All three of us opened our mouths to speak, when each of us noticed the other two beginning we immediately shut up. So now nobody was speaking, well this was just brilliant.

"Can not one of you offer an explanation? Can not one of you offer to explain as to why I find all three of you lying in the dirt, panting as if you had run for your lives and you." At this Father seemed the be carving holes into the side of my face with his intense gaze, somehow having a perfectly calm tone of voice whilst also being perfectly terrifying. He continued after his long pause, "Need I say more? Inside now, if you shall act like children I shall reprimand you as such"

I look down at my feet, apparently so did Loki, but Thor as always, is still standing tall and looking straight at Father, smirking? Does he have a death wish? Well I suppose me and Loki were always more brains and tricks whilst he is still just stupidity and muscle. "Not you." Father declared and I smirked, well, well, well, the favourite golden child is finally going to get a scolding, but when I looked up it was not Thor on the other end of Fathers gaze, but me.

I looked at Loki for help but he looked just as shocked as I. Clearly he got his hopes up too. Both of my brothers trailed off inside, Thor gave me two firm pats on the shoulder as if I were a dog. When they were both out of ear shot I looked back, or, to be more accurate about the matter, glared back, at my Father.

One thing, out of the many things I strongly dislike about my Father is his love for dramatic pauses and slow calm talking. So for once I took advantage of it. "Should you need assistance to the benches over at the back of the garden to rest your legs dear Father? I did not think it possible for you to leave that throne of yours never mind be stood in the Gardens, it must be awfully strenuous on you"

"Your defiance and disrespectfulness towards your King will get you no where in life child. Have you forgotten all you have been taught? All of manners, politeness? You are to be an eligible lady soon and yet here I find you running as if you were a child still in leading strings? I know my sons, especially my eldest, would never have imagined doing something of the sort, that is if he was not in the presence of you. Especially with his official duty of AllFather and protector of the nine realms fast approaching"

Here we go again, Thor 'the Perfect' Odinson, God of being an intolerable blundering twat

My Father continued to lecture me, continuing on about how a lady should act, how foolish I was, how I should be more like brothers, more specifically Thor. Everything always had to be about him. Father's favourite. Always perfect, always a role model. To be quite frank about it, if the man standing before me was anyone else I would slap him across the face.

However, younger me had learnt the hard way that mildly attacking the AllFather in the middle of a small toddler tantrum does not go down well with him.

He finally instructed me to go inside and I could feel his eyes boring into the back of my head as I walked off. I looked behind me to see that my Father was now out of sight and I turned a sharp left to the space in the garden where I had hidden my journal moments ago.

The space I had chosen to make specifically mine was my favourite part of the gardens. All four walls of the small space were lined with hedges as tall as a Frost Giant. The only way in and out of it was through an opening in the middle of the West hedge.

Lining the ground on each side were bushes. Perfect for hiding things under. Then the centre piece, a large tree stood proudly. When we were younger, my brothers and I used to play in it.

Well, that was until the day that Loki and I tricked Thor so that he fell out and broke his arm. After that Thor was too traumatised and paranoid we would pull the same thing again and it simply wasn't the same.

I made my way down to my usual comfortable spot and collected the spilt over ink pot and then walked over to the West bush where I had flung my quill and journal. However, much to my horror, when I went to grab it, the book was gone.

"Brother...' I began cursing under my breath knowing fine well what green favouring mischievous God had took it. I turned, flung myself up off of the ground and hurried to the library.

I chose to ignore all of the odd looks I received off of all the guards and servants, no doubt for the fact that there was still a rather large, prominent black stain on the front of me.

I stepped into the library and gently closed the door behind me.

"I thought I was being clever by coming here, instead of my chambers"

"Oh, I relied on that brother, now where is it?"

"I'm afraid I know not what you mean sister" As he turned around to face me there was that stupid grin back on his face.

"You must have mistook me for the golden haired freak of a brother we have. I'm no fool, where is it?"

Loki casually sauntered closer to me, "Somewhere you" He stopped so that he was only around a foot away from me now, "will never find it" He finished.

"Brother, if I have to tear this entire palace apart in order to find it, so be it" I retorted

"As if that would bring you any further forward dear sister"

Oh, so it didn't look this same. Loki must have conjured a fake new look for it, I could be staring right at it and I wouldn't even know it. Quite poetic.

In all honesty I did not care much for the book, I had simply written a few lines, nothing I couldn't  rewrite within a matter of minutes. However, the simple natural urge to find out where it was and triumph over my brother was remarkably tempting.

I mirrored my brothers smirk on my own face, "I will find that book, not because I need it, but I simply wish to triumph over you, and when I do..." I trailed off there

With a mixture of shock and smugness in his voice, "Is the absence of words supposed to be a threat sister?"

I spoke walking backwards not once taking my eyes off of my brother "Well I should hope for your sake it is not, I was taught by the best in the game"

"I taught you"

I grabbed the door and opened it, before exiting through it I pretended to ponder for no other reason than dramatic effect, "Hmmm, I suppose you did, allow me to rephrase. I was taught by the former best in the game"

Without allowing my brother time to respond I slipped out back into the palace corridor. As I walked away I heard Loki chuckling to himself. Well, atleast he was in a good mood now.

A/N- Hii! First read! Thank you thank you! I'm not using this as an excuse but I'm really quite ill at the minute so I don't know how much I'll be able to write. I do have the next few chapters all written up though so hopefully there won't be any missed updates etc.
