A good few hundred years ago

"It was Asgard's warriors who brought peace to the universe." I clung onto Loki's hand as we all walked closer to the blue glowy thing in the middle of the walk way. "But the day will come, when one of you, my sons, will have to defend that peace." I frowned at that, for all I am quiet, Father always seems to forget that I am his daughter, not his son, but no matter, I have just as much a chance to throne as either of my brothers. Father simply misspeaks time and time again.

"Do the Frost giants still live?" I looked up at Loki with a puzzled expression, I assumed so, Father wouldn't kill them all would he? Father ignored Loki's question completely. I looked over at Thor, he seemed rather excited, I may be small, but unlike him I could tell that the Frost giants were no joke.

"When I am King, I'll hunt the monsters down and slay them all." He imitated some sort of fight, it was far too clumsy to be a sword being thrown but to weak for a punch. Honestly, who knows when it comes to my eldest brother. "Just as you did Father."

This puzzled me even more, assuming the Frost Giants still lived how could Thor kill them in the same way Father did, because if that happened they would already be dead wouldn't they? My brain could not handle this anymore, why must nothing make sense?

"A wise King never seeks out War, but.." Father trailed off there and looked between each of my brothers, yet again forgetting I was there. So I decided to speak for once, he had invited my brothers to talk, how was I any different?

So repeating the same line the tall, pale skinned woman with black hair in all of my dreams said, "She must always be ready for it." Then something bizarre happened.

Father looked at me with a worried and puzzled expression. I had never seen him with that expression before. I looked up to Loki who had been glaring into the into the top of my head. Father walked back down the hallway not looking at any one of us.

"How did you know he was going to say that?" Thor asked. I just shrugged, "It's what the lady in my dreams tells me so I just said that, I did not know it would be right. Or, I'm just better and wiser than you"

At this Thor looked taken back, too shocked to even form words, whereas Loki beamed down at me as I glowed with pride knowing that I had just rendered her eldest brother speachless.

Third Person POV

What the three children had failed to notice was how their Father had stopped in the middle of taking his step. The fear in his eyes at this moment was something that they had never seen and would never see as his back was turned to face them.

The King knew this was no coincidence, he was not naive enough to hope that this woman was simply a random person. He had made the mistake of growing too close to his first daughter, made the mistake of allowing her close to whatever she wanted, and a wise King does not make the same mistake twice.

Poor Mirabella, she seemed innocent now, she showed potential, but then again so had Hela. He could not have another Hela, he could not afford to risk that, regardless of what stood in his way. Not even if that meant Mirabella's future.

So with that the King continued walking, pretending nothing was amiss. Pretending as though his daughters future hadn't been completely changed. The three siblings behind him now looked at one another with their own mischievous grin and suddenly burst out into a sprint to join their Fathers side.

"I am ready Father."

"So am I." The two brothers spoke fast, at that moment wanting nothing more than the throne. But to the old Kings surprise, his youngest daughter did not chime in too. Even as small as she was, she knew that if she was handed the throne at that very second she would have no clue on how to rule, she was not ready at this present time, so she kept her mouth shut.

"Only one of you can ascend to the throne, but both of you we born to be Kings."

"Well what of Mira?" His youngest son thought aloud.

"Well yes, Mira cannot be a King can she? So is it only me and Loki who will fight for the throne Father?"

"Of corse not, I shall be the best Queen Asgard has ever seen, and if you are already thinking about fighting for the throne, brother mine, you have already lost it." The young princess spoke with words beyond her years. It goes without saying that the AllFather was taken back by his youngest child's words.

Perhaps she could be Queen, perhaps she would be better suited for the role than either of his sons. Or perhaps she would go demented just as her sister had. Only time could tell.
