AUTHOR'S NOTE: Sorry it's kinda short. I never realized how short I make these chapters. I'll try to work on making them longer. Enjoy!

It's Monday. Time for another day in hell. I get up as my alarm goes off and I turn it off and get ready for the day. I need to fight the sleep. I'm so fricking tired. I finish getting ready and run out the door. I hop on the bus and everybody is talking. Normally my bus is pretty quiet for the most part. Why is everybody being social? This is so weird. Jess gets on the bus and that's when I finally find out what's up. "Did you hear about the new kid?" She asks me, taking a seat. "No." I answer, my mind filling with curiosity. "We're getting a new kid. He's from Mexico." She answers. We live only a couple states from the border so that isn't that big of a surprise. "Do you know anything else about him/her?" I ask curiously. "It's a boy." She answers. "I don't know anything else." She adds. "Well I guess we'll find out soon." I say as the bus pulls into the school parking lot. We go all day without seeing him until after lunch. I see some kids at the end of the hall pushing around another kid. "Hey Jess..." I say quietly. "Yeah?" She asks. I point to the group of boys. "I hate bullies." She says getting angry. I feel the same. The bell is about to ring, but I don't care. "Jess go get a teacher." I say putting down my books. "Lily don't interfere. Come with me. I can't let it get hurt again." She says to me with concern. "Jess I'll be fine just go get a teacher. Hurry. Go." I say not trying to raise my voice as I see the boy pushed to the ground. Jess runs to get a teacher and I start walking closer. "Please stop." I hear the boy on the floor say. He has an accent. The other guys just laugh. "You should talk more. Your accent is funny." They tell him. "You should talk less. Your stupidity is annoying." I say loud enough from everyone in the group to hear. He becomes angry, but he laughs trying to hide that I had angered him. "Get out of here, princess. I don't wanna hurt you." He says with confidence. "Oh I don't think I'm the one you have to worry about." I say stepping closer. He steps closer to the kid with the accent and puts a foot on top of his chest. "Leave or Mexican Boy gets it." He says threatening me. I begin to laugh and walk up to him. I look him straight in the eye and say, "Over my dead body." I see his leg move, but before he can kick the kid bellow us I knee him in the balls. He falls down and starts to cry. Another boy comes at me, but I punch him in the face and he also falls to the ground. You may think that after my first fight with Scarlet that I'm weak. Well girls are a whole other story. They say things and mean them. Most of the time boys at my school are just bluffing. I am weak, but the boys are weaker. The other boys run away. Why did they do that? I turn around and see a teacher approaching with Jess. Oh shit. He's gonna think I did this. "Ms. Way!" I hear come out of his mouth. "I can explain!" I say, but he won't listen. He drags me to the principal's office. She gives me a long lecture and then decides to call my parents. When they arrive she asks me to leave the room and has a discussion with them. Then I am called back in. Oh great time to get punished. I barely listen to the next lecture until I hear, "Can we have a moment alone with Lily?" come from Lindsey. "Of course." Replies the principal and we exit her office. As soon as the door closes I start to quietly defend myself. "I swear I didn't do it. Well I did do it, but I was trying to help someone. They were bullying this kid and I had no cho-" I talk quickly until Gerard interrupts me. "We're not mad at you." He says and a look of confusion spreads across my face. "Really? But I-" This time it's Lindsey's turn to interrupt. "You saved some kid's ass and beat up two D bags. How could we be mad at you for that?" A smile spreads across my face. I swear I have the best parents ever. "Now we have to go back inside, but pretend we yelled at you. You need to act really upset and pretend your grounded. Don't think that beating kids up is okay. We're not saying that this should become a regular thing, be we're proud that you stood up for that kid." Gerard tells me before putting his hand on the door knob. Wow. They're proud of me. I haven't actually had someone be proud of me in what seems like forever. I thought this conversation would end with a dead body, but it turned out pretty well. He opens the door and we walk back in. "We've decided that we're going to suspend you for three days." The principal says. Are you fucking kidding me?! Three days?! All I did was punch a kid and kick another in the balls! It was for a good reason! Being out of school is fun, but when your other friends are at school. It gets boring after a while because you can't text them whenever you want. "If it hadn't been so serious we would have let you go with a warning, but you sent two boys down to the nurses office." I just sit there in silence. If I try to argue I'll just end up digging a bigger hole for myself. I can't believe this. At least my parents believe me. If they didn't this would really be a living hell. When the meeting is over and done with Gerard and Lindsey take me home. Once we get in the car Gerard starts to laugh. "What?" I ask wanting in on the joke. "You're a total badass." He says pulling out of the parking lot. A smile spreads across my face. We listen to music for a couple minuets until I hear the best words of the day. "Who wants ice cream?" Gerard asks pulling into my favorite ice cream place. "So do I get ice cream every time I beat somebody up or is today just special?" I ask laughing. "Well I want ice cream and I decided that brain freezes suck so that can be your punishment." He says getting out of the car. We get our ice cream and then we drive home. "So are you ready for a three day SuperWhoLock marathon?" Gerard asks. "Hell yeah I am!" I say plopping myself down on the couch. I have the best parents ever. After school ends for my friends I start texting Jess and Noah. Apparently the new kid is in a couple of my classes including art and chorus. *He told me to say thank you and that what you did meant a lot to him.* Jess says in her most recent text. I helped this kid, but I don't even know his name. *Did you get his name?* I ask hoping she has an answer. *His name is Angelo.* Jess says and I smile. You're welcome Angelo. I'm glad I could help.
