AUTHORS NOTE: Sorry this one is short. I didn't have much time, but I was in the mood for writing.
~Friday~
Nothing really significant has happened since Monday. The only reason I've survived my classes is Jess. They're so boring and I get lost on the way to my classes if she's not there. I'm so glad it's Friday. Today wasn't so bad. Lunch was gross again. The only good thing they have is chicken nuggets. We're now on the way home from school. Jess is sitting next to me and we're blasting music between one set of headphones and talking. We've been doing this everyday. I hope this is a regular thing. It's the best part of the school day. We're quiet for a little while and then My Chem comes on. "Gerard's voice is so sexy!" She almost screams. She really likes him. I just laugh. "What? Don't you think so?" She asks. He's my dad. His voice isn't sexy to me. It's calming and it makes me happy, but it isn't sexy. I wish I could tell her this, but she wouldn't understand. "His voice is nice... but Frank is my favorite." I blurt out. I have always been attracted to Frank. I don't know why I just am. Oh God I have a crush on Frank. "Understandable" is all she says. We continue to listen to music until it gets to the climax of the song. We're listening to I'm Not Okay. She sings Gerard's part. Frank's "trust me" is coming up soon. She finishes Gerard's part and I jump out of my seat forgetting where I am and yell "TRUST ME!" Everyone starts staring at me. Oh God what have I done. Some are laughing. Others are confused. Most hate me. Oh my God what have I done. We get to Jess' stop and I run off with her. "This isn't your house." Well shit. "I know. I didn't want everybody staring at me. I was scared and ran." The bus is gone. Looks like I'm walking. My house is just down the street. "Since you're here do you wanna hang out tonight?" I freeze. Did I hear that correctly? Does somebody actually want me around longer than I have to be? "I'll call my dad and ask." I pick up my phone and dial Gerard. I've gotten used to calling him my dad. "Hey, where are you? I just saw the bus drive by." "I was wondering if I could hang out with my friend that I told you about. She lives down the street." "Okay. When do you want me to pick you up?" "It's fine I'll walk." "Be home by 11. Be safe. Don't do anything you're not supposed to and if you get into drugs, I'll beat you." "Jeez. I promise I won't." "Okay. Have fun. Love you bye." "Bye Love you too." I say hanging up the phone. "What time do you have to be home by?" I look at the time. It's 3. "I have to be home by 11." "Okay." She says walking into her house. "Mom?!" She yells. Her voice echoes throughout the entire house. Her mom comes downstairs. She's a woman about our height with short dark brown hair. She gives me a warm smile. "Hi I'm Jess' mom." "Hi. My name's Lily." I say returning a smile. "Do you guys need anything?" " Nope we're just gonna go down to my room." Jess says pulling me down a set of stairs. "Okay have fun." Her mom says. We get downstairs and every wall of her room is covered from head to toe in posters. Most of them are My Chem or Panic. "Your mom seems nice." "Yeah she's the best. She likes our music and she loves Supernatural. She's also really funny. What are your parents like?" "Which ones?" I say with a sad smile. "Oh right sorry." "My new parents are really funny. They are also insanely creative. My dad is a really great singer and artist. My mom is one of the best guitar players ever. They're also geeky. I love them. I also really miss my old parents. They were brave, intelligent, they were the best people I ever knew." I small tear starts to form, but I whip it away before Jess notices. We talk and joke around until it's time for me to leave. Running off the bus was a good choice.
