I wake up to the sound of the TARDIS. The only way I was getting up was if the Doctor was coming for me. It's Monday. This is the worst possible day of the week. It is even worse because it's the first day of school. I slowly climb out of bed get ready for class. No one will like me. I will make no friends. I'm going to get lost in the school. People will think I'm a freak. I'll get detention for being late. Everyone will laugh at me. There are a million thoughts going through my head of how horrible today could be. I put on this: http://www.polyvore.com/m/set?.embedder=12508913&.svc=copypaste&id=148121100 and do my hair, makeup and normal stuff like that. I'm really happy with how my room turned out. We got the furniture yesterday after seeing Mikey. It was so much fun. I wish I didn't have to go to school today. I rush downstairs forgetting to eat breakfast. If I don't hurry I'm gonna be late. "BYE LOVE YOU!" I shout passing Gerard and running to the bus. What a great start to my day. I get on the bus and everyone is staring at me. I just put on my headphones and start mentally jamming out to Ms. Murder by AFI. I can feel the eyes of staring people. I hate it. As soon as the bus pulls up to the school I get off as quickly as possible so I don't have to be stuck in the group of staring eyes any longer. I run around trying to find my locker, but I run into someone. They drop all of their books. I feel horrible. Why am I so stupid? "OH MY GOD I'M SO SORRY! Are you okay?!" The other girl is apologizing when it's really my fault. I bend down and help her pick up her books. "Thanks. I haven't seen you around here before. My name's Jess." She says happily. I have my arms crossed over my chest. "I'm Lilly." I say quietly and reach out my hand for her to shake. She takes my hand and then she sees my shirt and her eyes light up. "PANIC! AT THE DISCO IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS!" She says excitedly as I stumble back a bit. Why is she so loud? She notices how uncomfortable I am. Her voice goes quieter. "I'm sorry for my excitement. No one around here likes them." "It's okay." I smile. She seems really nice. "I better get to class. I'm always late." She says and starts to walk. "Wait!" I say and run after her. "I'm lost can you help me?" I gave her my schedule and her face lit up. "Your locker is right next to mine and we have almost all the same classes. Follow me." She takes me to our lockers. After I get my stuff we go off to the next class. We walk in and the teacher looks angry at us for being late. "I have an excuse this time I swear." Jess starts. "What is it this time?" The teacher asks and sighs. "There is a new girl today and she got lost and so I had to help her." She said pointing so me. Oh God now I have to talk to the teacher. "Lily right?" She asks. I nod. She points to a desk. "That's your desk. Get the notes we've already taken from a friend after class." Oh great. I don't think I have any friends. Maybe Jess will be my friend. Jess turns to the teacher. "Don't worry I'll give them to her during lunch." Okay that's good. I sit down in the desk, which just happened to be next to Jess. We sent each other funny faces all class period. I like this girl. The bell rings and I have 3 more classes to go until lunch time. I hope I won't sit alone. Maybe I can sit with Jess. She seems really nice. When I hear the end bell of the last class before lunch I practically jump out of my seat. Jess is a slow poke. I walk over to her and help her gather her stuff. "Thanks." She says with a huge smile. I want to ask to sit with her, but I don't have to. "Do you want to sit with me during lunch?" She asks as we leave the class room." "Yes please." I say as our foot steps create a beat, almost sounding like a song. When we get the the cafeteria I figure out it's chicken nugget day. HELL YEAH! Chicken nuggets are the best food in the world. After we get our food she breaks the silence. "So where do you want to sit?" "You can pick I don't know the school very well." She picks an empty table towards the back. On our way some popular girls in pink laugh at us. They mumble something about emos. I hate being labeled as things. We sit down and for once in my life I want to talk to someone. "So why did you move here?" Jess asks. I feel like I can trust Jess. "Promise not to tell anyone?" "Yes." "My parents died and I was adopted. My new parents live in this town." "Oh my God! That's horrible!" Oh great here comes the sympathy. "Yeah. I don't really like to talk about it, but secrets don't make friends and you would have had to find out sooner or later. Please don't tell anyone." "I promise I won't tell anyone." "What bands do you like besides panic." I'm more talkative than I expected today. "I like Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and Paramore, but my favorite bands are Panic and My Chemical Romance." Oh God. I better not tell her about Gerard. She'll have a heart attack. "I love those bands!" I reply. "What are your favorite tv shows?" She asks. This is easy. "Doctor Who and Supernatural. My favorite Doctor is 11 and my favorite companion is Captain Jack Harkness. My favorite character in Supernatural is Dean." She almost falls out of her chair with excitement. "Oh my God we have so many interests in common! This is insane." She says with a grin on her face. This is awesome. I think I finally have a friend. We talk about random songs and tv show episodes for the rest of lunch. I also learn a little bit more about her. Her parents are split up and her brother is at collage in London. He got a scholar ship. He's "annoyingly smart" as she puts it. We finally get to our last class which was chorus. I love this class the most. By the time class is over everyone is packed up and excited to leave. I find out that Jess and I are on the same bus, but she missed the bus this morning. We sit together on the bus and Gerard starts texting me. She looks over at the phone with a confused face when I realize his contact is named "Daddy Gee". "Oh shit! I promise it's not what it looks like! It's not daddy in a sexual way! I didn't know what title to use for the guy that adopted me so I panicked and typed Daddy Gee!" She starts laughing really hard. "That's actually really funny." I start laughing too. "Is his name Gerard?" I freeze. "Yeah. Why?" "You shortened his name like Gerard Way." I mentally sigh of relief. If she finds out he's my adoptive father things will never be the same. "Oh I didn't even notice." I lie. She grabs my phone. "What are you doing?!" I ask trying to get it back. She goes into the contacts and adds herself. Then she hands it back to me. I click on her name and send her a one word text. "Bloop." Is all it says. She adds me to her contacts. "Good. Now I someone actually worth texting." She says as she stuffs her phone back in her pocket. The bus stops at what I assume is her house and she gets off. The next stop is my house down the street. I walk inside. Bandit is still at school and Lindsey is in a meeting. "So how was school? Did you make any friends?" Gerard asks while looking up at me. He's sitting at the table drawing something. "It was good. I met a new friend." I say proud of myself. "What is he or she like?" He asks excited to know more. "Her name is Jess and we like all the same stuff and she's really nice. She's also loud and hyper and funny. She's the opposite of me in actions, but with clothes and interests we're the same kind of person." "That's awesome!" He says encouragingly. Next comes the question that I dread the most. "Do you have any homework?" He asks. I nod and walk upstairs to do it.
