Back to school. Ugh. I hate school. I got suspended and then I had vacation, but now I'm stuck going back. I shouldn't have even been suspended! I didn't do anything bad. I defended a kid who couldn't fight for himself. The school really needs to recheck their rules because in my book I did a good thing. I helped that boy and I still don't know his name. Well I guess I'll find out today. I hop out of bed and quickly get ready for the day. I can't wait to see Jess and Noah. We were all too busy to see each other as much as we should have over the vacation so it feels like I haven't seen them in a bajillion years. That's a long time. When I'm finally ready I turn my head to look at the clock. Oh shit I'm gonna be late! I grab my phone off the night stand and dart outside to catch the bus. I just barley make it. When I get on I sit down in my usual seat and wait for Jess. Jess runs on the bus and plops into the seat next to me. "How does it feel to be back?" She asks me breaking the science. "Not good. It smells like Satan's anus." I respond in a serious voice. She laughs. "That's the truest thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth." She says picking up one of the earbuds and sticking it in her ear. I put the other one in my own ear and click shuffle. I'm Not Okay comes on and we start jamming out and talking about our vacations. When the bus rolls to a stop we walk off slowly into the pits of hell, also known as school. When we get inside things are pretty much the same as when we left. Scarlett's still a bitch, Noah is still as amazing as ever, but where's the Mexican kid? We go through the day and it's pretty boring and uneventful until lunch. On our way up I see the Mexican boy and the same jerks who attacked him before. I just walk up to the head bully and tap on his shoulder. He turns around and his eyes go wide. "Would you like a repeat of last time?" I ask with a smile. "N-no..." He responds with a quiet voice. "Then back the fuck off." I respond sternly as I pull the Mexican boy away from the big crowd. "Uh...thanks." He says walking behind me. "No problem." I say with a smile as I turn around to look at him. "I'm Lily and that's Jess." I say pointing to Jess, then holding out my hand for him to shake. Yeah I know it's kinda weird and old fashioned, but I enjoy shaking hands. It's a thing I do and if you don't like it then you can take your bad vibes and get out of my face. "I'm Angelo. Thanks for sticking up for me." He says and I notice how think his accent really is. It's not funny. It's actually kinda nice. I don't know why they were making fun of him for it. "No problem. Some people are just yuck as fuck." Jess begins to laugh and so does the boy. "What's so funny?" I ask not even realizing what I just said. "The thing you just said sounds like something one of my favorite singers would say." Angelo says taking out his phone. My eyes go wide as I look over at Jess and she just continues to laugh. "Have you ever heard of Gerard Way?" He asks me handing over his phone. His lock screen is a picture of my dad. Weird. "Uh yeah. He's pretty cool. Actually he's super lame, but that just makes him better." I say debating on wether I should tell him or not. "Agreed. He's so hot." Angelo responds. Awkward. "I'm more into Frank Iero. So are you gay?" I ask hesitantly. "Uh... Why does it matter?" He asks putting his phone away. "It doesn't matter. I'm just curious. My best friend is bi so I won't criticize you. I have nothing against gays. I actually fight for equality laws of all kinds." I say continuing to walk to lunch. They both follow. "Then in that case, yes. I am gay." He says as we reach the lunch room. "Do you wanna sit with us?" Jess asks as we approach our table. "That would be nice." Angelo says smiling. Noah shows up and we tell him all about the past events. I sit next to Noah and we hold hands all lunch. Every now and then he sneaks a kiss onto my check or occasionally my lips. When we have to go I regret leaving him, but he isn't in my next class. Jess and I go our separate ways as I proceed to the next class and I quickly find out the Angelo is also in this class. "Aw I wish I could do that." He says pointing to a poster for yearbook club on the wall. "Why can't you? It starts tomorrow." I say reading all of the information on the poster. "I love photography, but I'm not good enough." He says picking up speed. I match my pace with his. "Who told you that?" I ask. "Just some people." He says hopping up the stairs. "You mean just some jerks? You can do anything you want. I bet you're amazing at photography." I say as we reach the top of the stairs. "Thanks." He says smiling as we enter the class room. "It's true." I say as we sit down in our seats on separate sides of the room. The rest of the day goes by boring as usual. The day is over and I go back home. I walk in and immediately go to the kitchen. Snack time. "How was the day?" Gerard asks as I pop some pizza rolls in the oven. "Good. I made a new friend." I say smiling as I pick up my phone and scroll through tumblr. I thought today would be shit, but it wasn't that bad. It was actually kinda fun. Today was good.
