Willa pushed herself through the crowd at the cafeteria. She walked to the captains' table. She placed her food down on the table greeting Nick and Karl who smiled at her. "You seem tense, you good?" George teased.

She looked at him and narrowed her eyes at her cousin. "You know if you weren't my cousin I would have poured this smoothie on your head." She said as she took a sip from the drink.

Jimmy snickered, "I think by now we don't have to ask why she's pissed." He joked as Maddy, his girlfriend that was also a part of the cheer team chuckled. "What did he do now?" she asked her captain.

The younger Baker scoffed and tear her bread in half as she glared at the table, "Imagine having the worst and annoying and arrogant-" "Oh here we go..." Carver whispered to Nick who snickered. "and boisterous and loud and gross and- ugh! Imagine having most of your classes with him." She said as she looked up.

"I couldn't." Charlie muttered sarcastically. She huffed and was about to say something when she was interrupted by someone slamming their tray next to her. She didn't have to turn, she could smell his annoying cologne. She gritted her teeth. "Imagine having most of your classes with a preppy and know it all in them." He said.

Willa snickered and turned her head to see that Clay was already looking at her smugly. "Be grateful Baker, a lot of girls would love to be in class with me." he said. She rolled her eyes, "Yes well I'm not one of you bimbos anyway." She said making George laugh.

Clay kicked him, "Ow! What the hell was that for?" he asked. "I'm your best friend." He said. George snickered, "Oh believe me I know. You tell me all the time." He grumbled. Clay smirked, "Oh yes I do because you just love me so much." He teased.

George groaned and hit his head on the table. Willa snickered as she stabbed her salad, "Oh just make out already." She said. "Willa!" George yelled making her laugh, "Oops was that a secret?" she teased.

Clay smirked, "Why? You jealous Baker?" he said propping his chin on his palm. She looked at him and flicked his forehead making him curse, "In your fucking dreams." She said. He smirked and pushed his face closer to her.

"Oh wouldn't you want to be in my dreams won't you?" he teased. Willa clenched her jaw and leaned closer, "How sweet, you dream of me." she said. Clay stared at her and they stared there just staring at each other.

Eert giggled and pulled on Will's arm. He turned and furrowed his eyebrows. He grabbed the bread that Jack was about to it, "What the fuck-" but the older twin threw the bread at them making them to turn to him. "Don't make out now. Not in front of my food." Will said and turned back to have a conversation with Eret.

Clay smirked when he saw a little blush on Willa's cheek. He leaned closer to whisper to her ear, "Don't go all soft on me." he said. She scoffed and pushed him off the bench. This caught the attention of the other students.

The old ones just brushed it off while the freshmen watched in confusion. "Niki." Willa called out making Niki to turn to her. She was having a conversation with Jack but now looked at her best friend, raising an eyebrow at her. "I'll see you at Art, I lost my appetite." Willa said as she glared at Clay. He jumped to his feet and winked at her, "Glad to be of service."

Willa scoffed and grabbed her bag, pushing herself out of the cafeteria making Clay laugh. He sat back down and started eating. "When are you two gonna grow up?" Jimmy asked him. Clay looked up and saw the rest of his friends looking at him expectantly.

"What do you mean?" he asked. Karl sighed, "He means when are you and Willa gonna get along?" he tried. Clay scoffed and raised an eyebrow at them, "Have you seen the gir-" "Clay we've all been friends since we were kids I think we have." Nick cut him off. Clay scoffed and crossed his arms, "Then what do you want me to do?" he asked glancing at Will.

Will hummed, "I'm not forcing you to get along with her, believe me I've tried talking to her but she is as stubborn as you my friend." He said. Clay hummed and turned to their friends, "See no point. And I thought you guys found it amusing?" he asked. The friends looked at each other and Charlie sent him a small smile.

"We do but we just think it would be great for all of us-" "All of us? She infuriates me." he cut him off and grabbed his bag. "I'll see you guys around." He said and walked out.

The captains sat silently and Niki sighed, "Well its gonna be a normal year then."
