"not in the hallway"
Willa was grabbing her art supplies from her locker. She was excited to attend her mother's class. She was humming silently minding her business. She had one of her earbuds on as she bopped to one of her brother's songs.
She placed her things in her bag before closing it. But as she did her mood immediately dropped. She sighed and was about to walk away when Clay called out for her. She huffed and turned, "What?" she asked. He sent her a smirk.
"Because your dramatic ass decided to walk out of the cafeteria you dropped this." He said as he raised her journal. She clenched her jaw and narrowed her eyes at him.
"What do you want?" she immediately asked because she knew that Clay Thompson would rather eat dirt than give it to her nicely. He smirked at her and leaned down to her face. "Aww what's in this? You're not putting up a fight." He said.
"I know you were a jackass Thompson but I never thought you were gonna be someone who invades privacy." She simply said. Clay frowned and hummed before nodding, "Well I have one thing in mind you could do for me." he said ignoring her words.
She raised an eyebrow at him and he smirked, "Kiss me." he said. Willa gritted her teeth, "You." she said as she leaned closer, "Are." she said as their foreheads touched making him freeze. "A horny asshole." She said and grabbed her journal.
Clay blinked when she started to walk away. He growled and grabbed her arm, turning her. He glared at her, "You don't get to do that to me." he said lowly.
She smirked and raised an eyebrow, "Why? Never had a girl play your little game?" she said with a teasing chuckle. He scoffed and pulled her closer. "You wouldn't survive if we did play." He growled. Willa snickered, "Don't make me try, you might find your match." She said.
He was gritting his teeth as they stayed like that. No one made a move, students were frozen in shock at what they witnessed. "Whoa." Tommy's voice was heard. This broke their trance and turned to see people gathered around them.
Willa looked down when she realized that Principal Dan had walked out of his office from the crowd outside his office. Clay pursed his lips as the man stared them down.
"Everyone back to their classes!" he yelled as Tommy stared at his sister in shock. "What the fuck did I witness?" he asked. The principal sighed, "Language young man. Now ran along." He said making Tommy huff and ran to his classroom.
Principal Dan stared at his two star athletes. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Not in the hallways guys. You know that." He grumbled.
"We weren't-" "No we didn't-" "I don't care. Just go to your classes." The man grumbled and turned back to his office. The two captains stood there in shock.
Willa was the first person to snap out of it. She gulped and gripped her journal to her chest and elbowed Clay. The blonde groaned and clenched his side as he glared at her. She turned to him, "Don't try me Thompson, you'll regret it." she said and walked away.
Clay stood there watching her making him sigh. He rubbed his side and clenched his eyes shut. Their friends' words were stuck in his head. He couldn't even remember why they turned out like that. They were right, they all have been friends since they were kids and he remembered how sad they all were when the Baker family had to move to the UK and when they returned they had a baby Tommy and Toby but when they did he knew that was when their feud started.
He groaned and gripped his bag and walked to the same direction. It was a lost cost anyway. They're seniors so what was the point in fixing it when they banter and arguments had become a daily thing to them. It was the only constant thing in their lives.
