Too much warmth, too much cold
I've had them both,
and they hurt the most.
You wanted me, I needed you,
you say it's the same thing, but it's not,
because, I wanted you to fill the void,
which someone else already filled for you.
I often wonder if it would really matter if I leave,
because in reality, we're nowhere.
Dead ends in conversations,
irritated sighs escaping me,
no attachments, I promised,
how about we just tie a string then?
Let's let it go loose, and I'll carry it afar,
tug on it and I'll run back at once,
I know I'm a pushover when it comes to you.
I wonder if you let me be that,
or you're actually sometimes at unease.
The string we've tied, I've carried it so far,
I wonder if I'll ever find my way back.
What if I'm unable to?
Will you break the string then?
Or will you strangle me till I break them apart?

Personal Notes :-
I'd really like to hear personal opinions on how this poem resonates with people, because for me, it's quite...I don't know, weird.
One thing that I'm sure of, is that the last line is so so good.
Like, it literally represents how two people drift apart, but when they confront about it, one of them blames it all on the other even when the other one was trying his/her best to save the drowning ship.
Let me go cry because of how beautifully it is written :')
Anyhow, thank you for listening.
Take care,
Love, Hacs.
