12. I was Mistaken, so, I am the Fool

I let you be the main character,
the protagonist in my world,

and I don't know why,
but I just watched as you tore it away.

Spacing back on your words,
you closed the chapter before it even begun.

I let you be the protagonist,
but you ruined the world
and handed it back to me.

I realised, you never were
the main character

it was always me,
and you knew that.

You knew that whatever you did,
it wouldn't hurt you in the end,

it would have only been me.

Then, why? Because you still had
your world in the end,

and maybe someone else's
to hold as well.

I was your world too, sometime
before you realised how different we were.
