Hey everyone before we start I just wanted to thank you all so much for this story now break 1000 views. Also thanks to the people that have given Princess farmhand a look and a like (even though it's at negative 1 views... how's that work.) Anyways let's get the story going.

******
Location: still space
Star Date: closer to Avos than we were

We had done it. We successfully managed to send our scouts to planet Avos. We're still waiting on some members to send a signal but it's giving us a bit of a map of the place.

If worst comes to worst their boxes have a one time warp home but they'll have to stick it out for at least a year to reliably be in range.

This job isn't just mapping out though we need to make contact with the locals and figure out their language so we can work on a proper translation.

That being said they probably have multiple different languages if they're a free thinking intelligent species like earth was. Though now most people just spoke English on the Ark if they did speak a different language it was likely for a religious purpose or a cultural ceremony.

I've been getting sidetracked. We want to find out what part of the planet will be most welcoming to new arrivals like us or in the worst case scenario which ones will be easiest to conquer.

"Ma'am we got another message. This one seems to be from Klaus." a soldier told me so I headed to the communication room we designed for this operation.

The dimly lit hallways seemed less lifeless than they used to. I suppose with a planet finally being found everyone was willing to have hope again.

Regardless Klaus was one of the last ones to report in as he'd been planetside for 3 days now.

I arrived in the room and his message was more like bullet points but still said a lot

-Reached planet Avos
-Location has many trees
-somewhere near a castle there was a celebration
-many guards are present, had to kill 2 of them in self defense

*sigh* well so much for good relations. I kept reading

-they wore armor similar to medieval knights but one of the knights had what could only be described as magic
-actually this part of the world seems like some medieval fantasy world
-lost backup telebox possibly in the fight
-this planet has rain
-came back another day
-encountered another local. A young girl no older than 6.
-it went smoother than the two knights did

Well that's a relief the message ended there. I decided to send his telebox a message asking about what physical features the avosians had. Figuring the distance I expected it would take a few hours so I simply read a book in the meantime.

...

...

...

18 hours later I finally received a message. Quite a while but less time than I expected and that timeframe would only decrease the closer we got.

-Avosians seem to look like a normal human but with a few traits
1. They have unusual hair colors you'd think they were dyed
2. They can use what can only be described as magic
3. If the girl is any indication their eye color changes seemingly at random
-the celebration that was occurring seemed to be regarding someone important in their society like a royal.

So we had a planet with medieval looking architecture, people with unusual hair colors, magic. What was this an anime planet? Well whatever what was important was that this planet had life and it seemed that Avosians were more similar to us than we expected.

Who was that man? I guess he wasn't too dangerous but still he was kind of a weirdo.

2 days passed since my sleepwalking adventure and here I was lying in bed not really tired while Sophie was reading her comics.

"Something on your mind Lily?" She asked me while turning a page

"Oh ummm. Well kinda. After my sleepwalking I ended up finding a strange cube. It doesn't seem to do anything but it definitely isn't just a random box."

"It's normal to be fascinated with the unknown. Question is do you think it's dangerous or not?"

"Well I'm not sure but. Something tells me it'll be important for me to figure out."

Sophie flipped another page
"Is that so? Well I suppose you'll just have to do what you think is best then Lily."

"Ah yeah thanks Sophie. Hey haven't you read that one before?"

"Ah yes but a new issue comes out in a week so I'm just making sure I'm all caught up."

I chuckled it was good that she had a hobby at least. "Well that's good. In any case goodnight Sophie."

"Goodnight Lily."

And then Sophie dimmed the lights so I could close my eyes and fall into a deep sleep.

This castle always had a weird feeling to it. Not necessarily bad but given everything that happened here in both my early and past life it was definitely strange calling it home regardless of how much it has been overhauled.

Thinking about it I hadn't returned to the room where I had my... freak out. Maybe it'd be better if I did so just for a bit of closure. Even if I stopped thinking of myself as Excella there would always be those lingering thoughts.

Well my parents have some business with Miss Talia and the Emperor but as far as I know I'll be free for a while. Maybe I'll use that time to explore and mass with the cube.

And that's the chapter hope you enjoyed.
Uploads may take a bit longer because I won't have as much time to make the chapters because of school.
