Ok I'm kind of proud of this chapter (though it might be a bit of a hot mess) but I gotta say, it's a MONSTER in terms of length.
Happy Saturday c:
****************
The two days up until homecoming went by painstakingly slow.
So when the day finally arrived, Y/n forced herself to get up and push through her shift.
She and Niccolo had the misfortune of working that day, with the both of them complaining.
"I requested the day off," Niccolo said spitefully as he worked on one of the various orders.
"Me too!" Y/n exclaimed as she helped the boy load up the espresso machine. "Do you have a date for tonight?"
"Nah, I'm going stag with Colt and Pieck," he said as he finished the caramel macchiato. "Order for Emily!" He shouted out.
"Going with the homies is always fun," Y/n said with a smile as she poured out another order. "For Vanessa!"
"Yeah. I guess I'm also kind of excited 'cause I got to do most of the catering for the party, too,'' the boy said with a small smile.
"Oh!" Y/n beamed as she looked at Niccolo. "Did you make those brownies that I've heard so much about?"
Niccolo only grinned and shrugged.
"I dunno, Y/n, you'll have to wait and see."
The girl pouted.
"Fine," she sighed out.
The two wrestled their way until 3:00 pm, when their other coworkers showed up.
"Need a ride?" Y/n asked and Niccolo politely declined.
"It's fine, I brought my own car."
Heading off, they both said their goodbyes for now.
"See you there."
"See you."
Y/n got home and rushed to the shower.
She ran around her house in a tizzy, stressing, even though the night was supposed to be a fun time for her.
Her mother happened to be there and offered to do her makeup, which Y/n was quick to take her up on.
Cutting it close, Y/n bustled out of her house and ran towards her car, her heels clicking furiously against the driveway's pavement.
In a flash, she was at Porco's. The boy had already been outside, waiting with a smile as he stood on the sidewalk.
Stepping forward towards the window, he motioned for Y/n to come out.
"Here, babe. Let me drive, I got it."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I wouldn't want that pretty dress of yours to get ruined," he said with a grin.
Y/n flushed and complied.
She stepped out of the car and Porco hugged her.
"You look great," the boy said, kissing her cheek, and Y/n smiled shyly.
"You, too," she said as Porco led her to the passenger's side and opened the door for her.
"We're gonna dance all night," the boy said with a broad smile as he got into the driver's seat and made his way towards Paradis. "You looking forward to it?"
