The beach was crowded.

It was horrible to find parking, so Y/n braced herself for the generous amount of butt cracks and horrible tan lines she was about to witness.

It took her a while to find Porco amongst the sea of people.

Her boyfriend had already arrived prior, wanting to find a good spot near the volley ball nets so that he could get a few matches in.

"Y/N!!!"

Colt smiled brightly and waved ecstatically at the girl, brushing off the fact that a volley ball had collided with his head seconds prior.

"I swear, this man can shrug off a concussion," Pieck mused in thought as she saw Colt run off. She laughed before turning to Porco and nudging him. "You better run before he steals your girl for the day."

"He ain't stealing shit from me," Porco said before he, too, jogged over to greet his girlfriend.

"You ok? You took a volleyball to the face," Y/n asked as Colt caught her in a bear hug.

"Yup! I'm glad you're here. Now I can gossip to you at the bonfire about all of Porco's dirty little high school secrets-"

"Colt, go away."

Porco placed his hand over the blonde's face and shoved him away, putting his arm around Y/n.

"Bro, so rude," Colt pouted before he perked up again. "Hey, you said you'd buy me a drink if you hit me again with the ball!" He pointed his finger square at the boy. "One root beer, please!"

"I'll take a strawberry Fanta!" Pieck had hollered from afar and Porco groaned.

"Oh cool, you getting us drinks?"

Niccolo finally showed up and plopped his bag down onto one of the towels.

"I'll take a cherry coke, please."

"What the fuck- since when did I agree to buy all the drinks??"

Porco grumbled as Colt nudged him towards the direction of the snack stand, Y/n covering her mouth to keep from laughing at her boyfriend.

"I swear, these guys are so annoying," he complained as the couple made their way towards the boardwalk.

On the way there, Y/n spotted a familiar clump of people.

A spray of bright, blonde hair, a set of crinkled blue eyes as the owner chased around Connie and Sasha with what seemed to be a water gun in his hands.

Y/n stared for a moment.

Those blue eyes finally met hers for a second, and then she looked away, shaking her head as if trying to shake off any of her conflicting thoughts.

"What's wrong?" Porco asked as he laid his arm across the girl's shoulder.

His eyes moved towards where Y/n had been staring, and he wasn't surprised to find Armin at the other end.

"You ok?"

Y/n nodded.

"Yeah, I feel better," she said quietly.

Porco shoved his doubtful thoughts to the back of his mind and carried on, silent. He squeezed the girl's shoulder once out of acknowledgment.

The both of them felt off as they carried all of the drinks back over.

"How could you drink this crap," Porco asked Niccolo as he handed off the cherry coke.

The chef took a sip and sent a scowl at the jock.
