Ben sat down at the bar as Olover made himself a drink. "Sure you don't want one?" Oliver asked. Ben nodded "No I'm alright, I don't drink. So what have ya been up to?" Ben asked him. Oliver sat down next to him and took a sip of his drink "After you left us with the ship, we set off and made it all the way to Hong Kong. Sara went home and I stayed with Shado and Slade to finish my training. That in it's self is my problem with the Lance family" He said with a sigh.
"I guess Sara didn't tell Laurel that I was alive and well. So Laurel blamed Sara for my death and when I finally did come home. The damage was already done" Ben nodded as the man said this "Well damn, and Sara hates you now because her sister hates her?" He asked. Oliver took another drink and nodded "Ya" he told him. Ben nodded and chuckled "I guess all of our lifes can't be perfect, there will always be problems in this line of work whether it has something to do with being a hero or not".
Oliver smiled and nodded "You got that shit right, so any new girlfriends kid?" He asked. Ben shook his head "Nah, there ethier gold diggers that are after my money or just turn out to be not my type" Ben said with a chuckle. "So where ya staying at?" Oliver asked him this time. Ben shrugged "No where right now, I recently moved from my apartment in New York and now I am just cruising around. So I figured I stopped by on my way through".
"I see, well why don't you stay here and help me? My new partner has been trying to get me to fight crime outside of the list. I could really use the help, since it's just me and John" Ben sighed heavliy at this and leaned back in his chair "Give me a few day's to figure it out alright? I want to atleast get back into the swing of things first before I make a decision, I'm kind of rusty at being a Superhero anyhow" Ben told him. Oliver smiled "Take all the time you can Scarlet Spider".
Later Thar Night
Ben Reilly was now in his hotel room talking on the phone "I think you should do it Benjamin, it could be good for you" A female voice told him. Ben sighed "I'm dying Aunt May, this place does not need the help of a dead man" he said with more of a sigh. She sighed aswell "The doctor said that you have 3 months Ben, and as much as I Iove you both equally. Your much smarter then Peter is, I just know you'll figure something out. Go be a Hero Scarlet Spider, I think it's time you come out of retirement" Ben smiled at this and nodded.
"I'll do it, though I am taking a three day training schedule. God knows how rusty I am, It's been a whole year since I last suited up" he said with a chuckle. May chuckled aswell. "So how is Peter and Mj doing, or he is still being a big chicken?" Ben asked her. May grinned on her end "Nope, Peter popped the question and they are getting Married in March" Ben nodded and smiled at she said this "Then I think I'll need to get started on fixing this damn sickness and making myself better" Ben told her. She nodded and smiled.
