Chaptet 9: Scarlet Spider Returns

The Next Morning

Ben got up early and began his day, first he started off by buying a old factory in the glades, it was really close to Oliver's night club. Ben set up three computer's and made himself a little lab. He opened up a suit case and pulled his old suit out "Hello old friend, it would seem we get to fight crime together once more" He said with a smile. It was currently 7 am and Ben had nothing to do after setting up his things. "I suppose I can go get breakfest and buy an apartment" He told himself.

He smiled and nodded at his own words, grabbing his mask and some web shooters. Ben made his way back to his car after locking the lab/spider cave back up. He was about to get into his car but heard a girlish scream just down the street. 'Practise makes perfect' he thought to himself and put his mask and web shooters on. Throwing his back hood over his head, Ben webbed across the sreet without being noticed.

Laurel Lance was currently not having a good morning, first she burnt her breakfast and then her car would not start. After getting the peice of shit started, she drove to work. Upon trying to unlock the door when she got there, a few of the glades low life criminals had other ideas. "Give us all of your momey and we won't hurt you" one of them said. "My dad's a cop, you won't get away with this" She told one of them. The criminal laughed alomg with his friends.

Ben began laughing aswell as he lowerd himself upside down behind them. The criminals turned around and widned there eye's "What are you all looking at, is there something on my face?" ben asked thugs while scratching his chin. "Get the freak" one of them yelled as he got over his shock. Ben grinned under mask and shot a web a the ground and webbed the man running at him up. Ben flipped to the ground and knock the other three out and webbed them to the wall "You said your dad was a cop right?".

Ben asked her. Laurel got over her shock and nodded "Y-Yes" Ben nodded at her and turned around "Call him and have these guys arrested, it was nice meeting you Ms.Lance" she called out to him beofre he could leave "W-Who are you? W-What are you?" She asked him. Ben smiled under his mask "Just your friendly neighborhood Scarlet Spider, though I wish I had more time to put my good suit on" he said and shot a web at the nearest building. Laurel watched him swing away with awe. Ben snuck back to his car and got into it as he landed.

A Few Hours Later

Ben was now meeting Oliver for some lunch to talk over this Hero thing, he chuckled at the news as the new hot topic was thst there was a new Superhero in town calling himself the Scarlet Spider 'It'll be a matter of time before Sara Lance finds me and corners me up' he told himself. "Yo Ben" Oliver said as he walked into the diner and saw him. He sat down and smiled "So I've been hearing about this new Hero calling himself the Scarlet Spider, and that he saved Laurel Lance".

Ben chuckled and nodded "Ya, I had a talk with my Aunt May last night and she give me one of her famous pep talks. She made a very good point in saying that I have been away from my true calling for awhile, so I guess I'm in. Though I still need to get up to speed with everything so I am taking a three day training vacay" Ben said to him. Oliver nodded and smiled "That's fine, take all the time you need kid" Ben nodded and smiled at this. He then sighed "There is something I just tell you Oliver, It must be private though".
