<Hazel's>

Damian and Tim helped Jason into his room while Bruce pulled me back.

"I need to tell you the same thing I told Brooklyn..." He says, his voice grave, "They may both seem okay, but it's going to get worse before they both get better."

I nod absentmindedly, my thoughts only on Jason as I turn to follow them before Bruce grabs my arm, forcing me to look back at him.

"Hazel, Jason hasn't been exposed since he came back. He could become-"

"He isn't going to hurt me, Bruce," I tell him, though I admit I don't know how he is going to react, which is why I need to be with him the whole time. "I will be fine, I trust him."

Bruce nods before he lets me go and Alfred looks to me, "Miss Hazel, perhaps we should give Master Jason a chance to shower and change. Would you accompany me in making tea for everyone? To calm everyone's nerves."

I knew I didn't have a choice, not when Alfred was asking. He knew Jason and he knew I would want to be with him, so if he was suggesting I give him a moment, then I probably should.

I nod to him, sending a grateful smile to Bruce before I follow Alfred into the kitchen.

"Any advice?" I ask when we are upstairs and I pull out some mugs as he makes the tea.

He has his back turned to me, but his voice is clear when he says, "Miss Hazel, I believe you are one of the only people who know exactly what to do in this situation."

My eyebrows draw together at this, "But... I don't know what to do. I've never been in this situation."

"I know," He says turning to face me with a small reassuring smile, "But you will."

My face softens slightly, exhaustion showing as he pours the tea into the cups.

"I will take the cups to Master Tim and Master Damian as well as Master Dick and Miss Brooklyn," He informs me as he loads them on a tray, somehow managing to carry them all. "I assume you wish to go alone?"

"That would be nice, thank you, Alfred." I smile at him, truly grateful for the butler that cares so much about his family.

"Of course, Miss Hazel." He nods before he adds, "If you need anything, let me know."

I nod to him again, a small smile on my face as I pick up the two mugs and start my way to Jason's room.

I tuck one of the mugs in between my chest and my arm, careful not to spill any of Alfred's liquid gold before I open the door.

My eyes immediately find Jason, his hair wet and still dripping as he hides his face in his hands from his spot on the edge of the bed.

I close the door, causing his eyes to meet mine, rimmed in red as tears fall down his face.

My heart drops as he looks at me, before he looks back to the ground, sniffing slightly.

My feet move before I even realize it as I put the mugs on the desk by his bed. I push my hair out of my face as I kneel in front of him.

"Jay..." I mutter, trying to get him to look at me as I rest my hands on his knees. When he doesn't respond to me, I slowly move my hands to his face, "Jason?" He doesn't stop me as I touch his jaw, his bottom lip starting to tremble slightly.

He puts his hand over mine, his hands shaking as he presses a kiss to one of my hands, his tears wetting my skin.

"Jason," I whisper, not waiting any longer before I sit up more and pull him into a hug, his head buried into my chest. His arms wrap around my back in a death grip as I hold his head to my chest.
