Chapter 7

I grabbed my phone and checked my home screen, just to see if Daniel texted me. There were no messaged from him so i decided to make the first move.

Hey -Jesse24

After waiting for a couple of minutes, my phone beeped. Informing that he replied.

Hey Jesse, how are you feeling? Im sorry again for what happened by the way. -Daniyellow

I bit my lip and fumbled with my pinkie ring. As I started to type, I got another text from him.

I know you are worried...let me tell you what happened if that will make you feel better. -Daniyellow

I took a deep breathe and waited; it felt like and hour passed by when he finally texted me.

Everything I am about to tell you has to be kept a secret. If you tell anyone, even your mom, I will get sent back to the tribe and they will kill me. Werewolves are not supposed to tell anyone anything. When I was twelve years old...I was always very curious. One morning white, pale people came to our land. They killed so many of us...including my mother. She was such a brave woman, she died saving me. She hid me in a shed telling me to be quiet. My mother kissed me on the forehead and that was the last time I saw her. After they all left, only fifteen of us were alive. There were four hundred...But of course the vampires dont know we are alive. So that is why they are coming back, to kill the rest of us. You see, the vampires...they only think about themselves. Theyve been alive for thousands of years and...they are just very cruel. If they come here...they will start to kill humans too, not just werewolves. But one thing I know for sure is, I will protect you. Even if that means that I will lose my own life. I will do everything that it takes to keep you alive. I promise you that you wont get hurt. -Daniyellow

After reading all of that, I felt like all the air from my body escaped. This is why there was trouble at the tribe! This is why he has scars...

I sighed and threw my phone on the bed. I sat near my window and looked at the bright stars covering the sky, one by one. I closed my eyes and took in the fresh air. I could hear footsteps, turning around thinking it was Daniel. In front of me stood a vampire, her teeth as sharp as knives. She turned her head to the side and laughed.

"Oh you are so naiive little girl." she cracked her knuckes and I got up, inching away from her.

"W-what do you want?" I choked out.

"Oh, there is only one thing," She smirked at me with an evil grin on her face, "I want your, young red blood."

I swallowed hard, I could feel my whole body shaking. I jumped out of my window onto a tree and started climbing down. The vampire girl was laughing an evil laugh and she turned into a bat flying out of the window at me. As we were rolling around the grass, I could feel fangs inching closer and closer to my neck.

"Stop!" Daniel ran out in his wolf form, attacking the vampire. His jump caused her eyes to go red and she hissed.

"You touch her, I kill you!" He was growling, sharp teeth showing. Daniel was standing next to me, viciously growling at the vampire.

"This isnt over!" The vampire hissed and turned away, flying away towards the forest in her bat form.

Daniel looked down at me and I stroked his back with my hand. I got up and covered my face with my hands. So much has happened in one night and everything was just too much.

I gasped and opened my eyes, I could see that I fell asleep near the window. I looked around and pinched myself. It was all a dream.
