Chapter 18

Back in the hospital room, again. I never like seeing anyone get hurt, especially Daniel. This is the first time I've seen him like this, laying still with absolutely no movement. I could still feel his warm breath, his chest rising slowly. His arm was wrapped around with a white cloth, it was slowly turning red.

"Jesse," I heard Daniel whisper and I smiled. Thank goodness he is with us.
"I know how you feel now," I told him and weaved my fingers into his.
"How?" He asked.
"Seeing someone you love get hurt," I smiled and he smiled back weakly.
"Every bone hurts in my body, but my heart still manages to beat for you," I blushed a bit and swooned.
"Sometimes I think about what I am and what I do. I'm a wolf, and I kill...vampires. But see, they used to be normal human beings, just like I was before." He whispered. The word vampire ran chills down my back.
"Daniel, I think the medicine is acting up," I laughed and he laughed back.
"Maybe so," he closed his eyes and I kissed his forehead and sat there.

I woke up to the sound of beeping noises and doctors. I rubbed my eyes and saw that they were talking to Daniel.
"Rub this on your arm softly, don't pick anything heavy up. Let yourself get plenty of rest and please don't stress. It will make the wounds harder to heal." The doctor was giving Daniel instructions and I could hear him mumble "mhm" once in a while.
"Well, you are set to go. Let Jessica drive you," the doctor pointed her hand to me.
"It's Jesse, but thanks for trying." I could hear Daniel laugh a bit and the doctor gave me an evil glare. Doctors and nurses don't get alone with me.

When I drove Daniel to his house, he kept telling me how much he loves me.
"Jesse I love you," I smiled and laughed.
"I know silly, you told me 57 times," I looked over at him and a large grin spread across his face.
"Jesse I gotta tell you something," he whispered and gestures his hand over.
"I'm driving," I laughed.
"Ok ok, here's my secret," he whispered, "I love you," he smiled and I smiled back.
"I love you too," I was at his house and I got out to open his door. Only seeing that he already did. I walked him to his door and he made a sad face.
"I don't want you to leave," He said and sighed.
"Daniel I have to do my homework, plus we have school tomorrow." I told him and he groaned.
"I'll see you later Daniel," I wrapped my arms around his warm body. He kissed my head and I left to go to my car. I love him.

Short chapter soooorrrryyyy, I wrote this while driving to school 😂. Hang with me, I have testing aalll week and I still manage to pull off SOME chapters.
