"Learn about what?..." Robert seemed impatient, and it gave away Sarah a little cue.

"What do you know?" Sarah tried to regain her posture. It was obvious that Robert didn't know much.

"So, you think I don't know much..." Robert asked but then stated. "...well, let's start from where you lied to me that you are graduated. You work as a waitress. And, you certainly don't want your mom to learn about it. And, trust me Sarah I am not even starting..." Sarah noticed the calm on his face. If Robert really knew everything he couldn't keep this calm. He would have lost his mind.

"A lot of people know about it, Mr. Williamson, my mom too. If you want to go inside and tell everything to my mom, be my guest..." Robert smiled and nodded loving the change in her attitude. But it was the game he could play. But he couldn't let anyone related to Leo close to his grandmother or his wife.

"Well, why don't we start from where Leo helped you retrieve money from Valerie. You are doing all of this with Leo and for Leo. But let me tell you, whatever dreams he has weaved with you, I am here to destroy them. Tell that useless boyfriend of yours that..."

"I am not in contact with Leo. And, I hadn't seen him for weeks..."

"Oh, that's because I made sure that he doesn't enter the US without getting arrested. If Leo knows where to hurt me. I know where to hurt him. So, tell him to forget about any plans he is weaving to destroy me. He is not going to do that in this lifetime..."

"I am not in contact with Leo. I am not his girlfriend..." But then Sarah recalled how he had seen her with Leo. "...I mean, we were a thing for a moment but then we parted ways. Even if he is not in US, you aren't seeing me actively looking for him. Doesn't it explain? Also, if you are pointing to the money Valerie had given me, it is for my mother. Valerie and I aren't fast friends, but when I get to know about my mother's cancer, I tried to contact all the friends who I know could help. And, Valerie helped me. Is there anything else you want to know?"

"If Catherine wanted help, we could help her..." And, Sarah rolled her eyes.

"Yes, like you had helped a few years ago with her bypass surgery. I stood in front of your mother's place for hours but your mother didn't give us one cent. I know better than to wait for help by Williamson's."

Robert could imagine his mom doing that. "But my grandmother isn't like that. I am sure if Catherine is going through this, my grandmother is already taking care of it. I don't even need to confirm it. I know it. Why don't you go and talk to your mother what she had been doing with the money Valerie gave you..."

"Who are you to raise any question about my mother? If my mother is taking help from your grandmother I am sure she hadn't wasted the money I had been sending her..."

"You sent your mother a huge amount of cash and she didn't raise a brow. You tell me that your mother knows that you work as a waitress but I think she doesn't. The pride she has when she looks at you is different. Why don't I say hi to your mom?" Robert opened the door of the car and was about to step out when Sarah held his hand. "Please, don't..."

Robert looked at his hand and Sarah instantly removed her hand. "Please, she doesn't know. You win, ok?"

"I don't want to win anything, Sarah. And, I don't care if you are dating Leo or not. I want you to stay away from our family. I can see why Leo reached you. You were friends with Valerie and your mom works at my grandma's place. And, I am still not convinced about your reason to get money from Valerie. I can't trust anyone who is related to Leo..."

Sarah didn't know why but she didn't like how he was classifying her. She didn't like this hate and disapproval in Robert's eyes. "What have I done? I don't even know who Leo is. I was scared of him because he is scary. What have I done? Or my mother? My mother doesn't even know I was Valerie's roommate or if I know her. You can't make my mother leave this job. Even though I was asking her to leave this job yesterday but I can see how much she feel belonged at this job. In fact, I shouldn't be explaining anything to you. Its not like I want to be anywhere close to you."

Robert looked at her. "Are you trying to tell me that Valerie paid for your mother's medical bill?"

"Yes, and I am sure my mother didn't receive any help from your grandmother, or my mother should have told me. I am not dating Leo. I never did. I don't even know who Leo is. It was so unfortunate for me to cross paths with him. I never had any of his contact numbers. He was bugging me, and I was scared to upset him. If anything, I am thankful that you got him out of the US for good. So, I am not conveying any message of yours. Tell Leo, whatever you want to tell him, yourself. I am not any messenger," Sarah opened her side of the door, but stopped in the middle to look at him. "And, if you ever told my mother that I have not graduated, we will have a bigger problem than Leo. Whatever I tell my mom doesn't concern you."

Robert raised his brows and tried not to laugh. Sarah looked funny to him. He still considered her a problem. Anything that could remotely get Leo access to him or his loved ones was a red flag for him. But there was something about Sarah that was making him smile.

Robert caught himself smiling instantly and hardened his expression. "I need to keep this woman under the radar for some time. I can't trust her words. I need to make sure she is harmless."
