"I...I..." Sarah completely lost her voice, and seeing her in such action made her mother suspicious. "Is everything alright?" Catherine asked, but both kept staring into each other's eyes. "Yes, Mom,

"Hello, Mr. Williamson," Sarah tried not to stutter.

"So, Catherine is your mom..." Sarah was surprised that Robert knew her mother's name.

"Yes, I am here to pick her up..." Sarah knew it didn't make sense. How could Valerie be friends with someone whose mother is a maid?

Robert seemed handsome as ever. He smells of a fresh morning. "I guess we never get to talk about how you met Valerie."

"We were roommates when we were graduating..." Robert remembered seeing her working in a cafe. "So, you have graduated?" Robert seemed surprised, and Sarah didn't want her mother to know that she works as a waitress.

"Yes," Sarah tried to smile widely. "...I am to take my mother to a nutritionist..." Catherine wonders if her daughter was feeling embarrassed. Of course, people will judge her for letting her mother work such a meagre job.

"She keeps asking me to quit, but I don't want to..." Catherine looked a little flustered and confused. She wonders if she was supposed to say it or not.

"No, I get it. I wasn't judging..." Robert tried to clarify, but Sarah stopped him. "Oh, no, we didn't think you were judging. My mom tried to stay at home but couldn't. And, I guess we have to make amends with it. We are getting late so see you next time..." Sarah tried to leave but Robert was quick to stop her. "Excuse me, I am sorry to take your time but can you not tell Valerie that you saw me here. She is a little possessive of my time. And, she doesn't know..."

"Yea, sure, we don't talk much. And, we aren't close..." Sarah said but it removed the smile from Robert's face. He wonders why would Valerie give Sarah such a huge amount if she doesn't talk to Sarah much.

Robert watched her leave. This girl, Sarah, was everywhere in his life. Her mother had access to his grandmother. She is Leo's girlfriend and was also a roommate with Valerie. What if she is helping Leo infiltrate his circle? He couldn't turn a blind eye to how easily she has access to people most important to him.

Sarah walked to the car with her mom who couldn't help asking. "Whose car is this?"

"Well, I bought one for you. Do you ike it?"

"Oh my god, yes, I love it..." Catherine smiled, looking at the car.

"Well, then, why don't you give it a try?"

"Thank you so much, Sarah. You didn't have to do it..." Cathering pulled Sarah in a warm hug, and Sarah tried to shake every worry in the world for a moment.

She took her mom to see a nutritionist, and afterwards, she got her to go grocery shopping. "We don't need the almond milk or soy milk. The regular milk is fine..."

Her mother tried to argue, but Sarah bought different kinds of fruits and vegetables from the farmer's market.

"Isn't it so great? I think it was for the better that I got cancer. At least, now you have pushed everything aside and is spending time with me..." Sarah who was driving the car now smiled.

"Yes, enjoy it while you have it..."

"Uh, I am kind of bored of you. I guess it is time that you meet someone nice. And, we expand our family,"

Sarah had an awkward smile on her face now. It was obvious she didn't want to talk about it. "I will tell you when I have someone in  my life,"

"No, I am encouraging you to take out some time to find someone for you. You are here to take care of me. And, I am thrilled. But it is after years that you are away from work. Why don't you stop being hyper-focused on me? And, put this time to good use..."

"Mom, I am putting my time to good use. Don't worry about me..."

They pulled in front of their home and got the groceries inside. Sarah was about to arrange the groceries when she recieved a call from an unknown number on her cell phone. Sarah picked it up and started. "Hello,..."

"This is Robert Williamson. I want to talk to you before I leave. Can we talk for a second?"

"Yes," Sarah braced herself for the impact.

"Good, I am waiting in my car outside your place. And, I will prefer that you won't take much of my time."

Sarah could tell she was in trouble. She wonders if Robert had figured out everything already. "Mom? I need to make a call and there are no signals. Will you make me a chocolate milk with some cake?..." Sarah wanted to keep her mom busy in the kitchen and nowhere near the windows at the front where she could see her.

"Of course, I guess I have finally show you that I am doing great..." Catherine took the win and walked into the kitchen.

Sarah walked out and found two cars around his car. He was here with his bodyguard. He was here to show his power.

A man approached Sarah as if she would run away if given the chance. Sarah walked to his car, and his guard opened the door. Inside, Robert was busy on his cellphone. Sarah got in, and his driver got out of the car, giving the two complete privacy. Robert was here to intimidate her for sure.

Robert remained silent as if he has the whole time in the world. He tried to seem busy on his cellphone. "What is this about?" Sarah asked,

"You tell me what is this about?" Robert asked and Sarah wonders what does he know. She was too naive to understand his silent treatment.

"What are you talking about?" Sarah asked,

"You know exactly what this is about? I am only giving you a chance..." Robert finally looked at her and said, "So, tell me, Sarah, everything you had been doing against me. This is your last chance..."

"Look, I had no say in this. I..." Sarah couldn't help but get her eyes moist.

"You didn't have any say in this, but you could have done something about it." Robert was playing it smooth.

"Look, I tried to turn down Valerie. But you know her. She is so powerful and dangerous..."

"Valerie? What did Valerie do?"

"It was all Valerie's idea. I knew you will learn about it..."

"Learn about what?..."
