Chapter 18

A month later.......

It's been a month and Kaitlin has broke most of her habits some she's still working on. She has been talking more and more each day getting back to her old self before her mother brain washed her.

She hasn't gotten her stuff from the house yet and so today she decided she will go. She knows soon or later she's going to have to go and get them and so why not today. She walked downstairs and saw James in the middle of the hall wall. "Hi dad." She said kissing his cheek.

"Hi beautiful." He said reading the newspaper. "Question why are you in the middle of the hall." She asked. "I have no clue come on let's go eat breakfast I was about to go get you anyways." He told her closing the paper and folding it up. They walked into the kitchen together.

"Morning Kaitlin I see James listened to me and got you up." Lily said kissing the side of her head. "Actually-Yes I did." He said cutting her off as she turned and stared at him confused. "But dad-Don't worry darling come sit." He said making her more confused.

She sat down staring at him. "But dad-It's alright-James shut up and let her talk." Lily said cutting him off. "What we're you saying darling." Lily said. "Dad didn't wake me up I woke up on my own." She said as his eyes widened.

"Seriously James all I asked you was too wake her up and here you are lying." Lily said. "Traitor." He said making her laugh. "Here eat your food." She said handing Kaitlin her food. "Where's Harry." She asked not seeing her brother their at the table.

"He went to the Weasleys house we'll be going later is that okay with you." James asked. "Yeah the Weasleys are nice." She said eating her food. She still hasn't asked them if she could go to the house and pick up some stuff. "What's on your mind." Lily asked sitting down.

"Nothing nothing." She said. "You sure you can always tell us anything." James told her as she nodded her head. "Ok now I know you wanna ask something you only nod your head when you have something to ask so tell us." James said as she placed down the fork.

"Can I go to the house to grab some things." She said as they stayed quiet. "I know stupid of-That's fine just as long as one of us go with you." Lily told her as she sighed. "Seriously?" She asked. "Yeah just make sure we're with you." She told her as she nodded her head.

"I'll take you don't worry." James told her. "Thanks dad and Lily." She said picking up her fork again smiling. "It's no problem." They said. "Is their anything that you need or want to get." James asked. "It's the stuff I need and some stuff I want to grab." She asked as he nodded his head.

After breakfast Kaitlin and James both went to the manor. They both stood outside in front of the doors. "I don't anyone is home." He said. "I know but theirs a key." She said lifting up the mat on the floor revealing a key sitting their.

"You can wait here I'll be inside just for a few minutes that's all." She said putting the key in the hole unlocking the door pushing it open. "Are you sure I mean-I'm sure besides like you said you don't think anyone is home I'll be ok." She said cutting him off as he sighed.

"Alright but shout for me if you need anything." He told her as she gave him a small nod before entering the house. She looked around as the memories of everything that has happened here to her and her siblings. She walked upstairs to her room pushing open the door.

She looked around seeing it was exactly how she last was here. She took a deep breath before waking in she quickly grabbed a bag and threw her clothes in it. She saw her book on the floor and quickly picked it up shoving it in her bag. She walked out of room shutting the door and looked across the hall and saw Sages room.

She walked to her door opening it walking in. She smiled seeing her clothes everywhere on the floor. "Crazy girl." She mumbled to herself seeing papers and clothes and most of her stuff on the floor and stuff hanging on the her walls. She walked to her bed got on her knees and pulled out a box from underneath it.

She opened it and it had all of their pictures of them together. From when Sage was just a baby till now. She shut the box and held it she was going to take it home with her. She walked out the room shutting the door quickly walking downstairs. "Kaitlin." She froze in her spot hearing her mothers voice.

"What are you doing here." Dawn said. She stayed quiet as her breathing was shaky. "Turn around and answer me now." Dawn said as she took a deep breath and turned around. "Grabbing my things and this will be the last you see of me." She said as Dawn stared at her.

"Confident aren't we now." Dawn told her. "Yes we are because I don't have you constantly nagging me. Kaitlin behave Kaitlin that's not ladylike Kaitlin do this do that I'm my own person you can't control me anymore." She told her. "Well I'm still your mother." Dawn said. "You abused me and mentally hurted me as well and took everything away from me."She said.

"I did no such thing and I didn't take anything from you." Dawn told her. "Yes you did you took away my childhood along with my siblings." Kaitlin told her. "I have to go my dad is waiting for me." She said going to walk off when Dawn stopped her. "I'll give you another chance to come back to your family." She said.

"My family is gone." She said. "Just come back home me and your father won't be mad at you and we can still do the prophecy we don't need Sage-I don't care she is dead and your still going on about the prophecy you guys murdered my sister I never want to see you again." Kaitlin told her as she stayed quiet.

"It's gonna kill you sooner or later." Dawn said. "And theirs no stopping it you will die it won't be from my hands or wand it'll be from yourself and sooner or later they will get tired of you." Dawn told her as she kept walking. "Got everything." James said. "Yeah." She said putting the box in her bag. "What was all that yelling." He asked.

"Just me and mother guess she is home." She said as he stared at her. "She's here!" He said. "Yeah she is." He was about to go in their when she stopped him. "Don't dad please don't I just wanna go back to the house." She said with tears in her eyes. He stared at her for a minute and looked at the door before sighing.

"Come on let's go home." He told her putting her stuff in the car he opened the passenger door for her once she got in he shut it and got in himself and drove off. "Whatever she told ain't true." He said breaking the silence. "You don't have to tell me but whatever she probably said is a lie everything she says is a lie." He said.

"I love you." He said. "I know dad I love you too." She said leaning her head against the window shutting her eyes as her thoughts went wild.
