Chapter 2

Kaitlin and Sage had split up. Kaitlin went to the great hall as Sage went with the first years to get sorted. Kaitlin sat by herself like always she wasn't allowed to speak to the other kids only the Slytherins. She didn't speak to them either she stayed by their side but never spoke.

"Sage De Martel."

The Professor spoke as Kaitlin watched her closely. She placed the sorting hat on her head and for a few minutes it went on but then it spoke.

"Slytherin."

The hat said as Kaitlin smiled waving to Sage as she smiled back making her way to the table. Kaitlin stayed in her own little world she never out spoke never drew attention to herself or family name she was a perfect pureblood daughter except to her mother she would've been more perfect if she got sorted in Slytherin.

So Kaitlin seeks her mothers approval for everything wanting to make her proud and satisfied but everything she does seems to make her upset or disappointed. She has very good scores in test she is the highest in her class well second highest Hermione Granger is the first highest and she comes after her.

So she decided this year she will be the first highest so her mother would be proud of her for once. So it means more studying and now she has to look out for her little sister meaning she isn't gonna let her get harmed.

She was snapped out of her thoughts by someone tapping her shoulder. She looked and saw it was Ginny Weasley. "It's time to go but you didn't eat." Ginny said as Kaitlin looked down at her plate seeing it still full. She didn't realize how long she was zoned out. "It's alright we can go to the kitchen-No thank you it's alright I've gotta go." She said quickly walking out making her way to the Slytherin side.

She found Sage walking with the first years she jogged over to her stopping her pulling her into a hug. "Oh I'm so proud of you Sage." She said as she heard giggles come from her. "Thanks Lena but now I've lost the group." She said pulling away as Kaitlin ruffled her hair.

"It's alright I'll take you back to the common room." She said standing up holding her hand. "Did you eat all of your food." She asked. "Yes I did I even made some friends." Sage told her as Kaitlin smiled. "That's good I'm glad you made friends." Kaitlin said as she stood in front of the Slytherin common room door.

"Password." The man said. "Pureblood." She said as the door opened and they walked in as some kids stared at them. "To the left is the girls dormitory's go ahead and run along see you tomorrow Sage." She told her kissing the top of her head. "Night Lena see you in the morning." Sage said hugging her before quickly running off.

The kids on the couch was staring at her. "Malfoy Nott Zabinie Parkinson and you are-Marcus Marcus Riddle." Marcus said cutting her off walking over to her as she took a step back. "Theirs no point in talking to her Riddle she doesn't speak." Draco Malfoy said as he stared at her.

"So why she in here." He asked. "She got sorted into the wrong house so she follows mommy's and daddy's rules and sticks with only Slytherins." Draco said as she stayed quiet. "Leave her alone Draco it's nice to see you again Kaitlin." Pansy said as she nodded her head.

"Well you better get going before you get caught." Blaise told her as she nodded her head and walked out the common room quickly walking back to her common room only to bump into a professor. "I'm so sorry professor I wasn't watching where I was going oh god I'm gonna get a detention my mum is gonna flip." She said rambling.

She looked up at the Professor with tears in her eyes. "It's alright I'm not gonna give you a detention but I do ask why you are out late." Sirius asked her. "I was taking my little sister to her common room." She told him blinking away her tears. "I must head to bed now professor thank you and goodnight."

She said quickly walking off to the common room once she entered kids stared at her. "Where we're you Martel." Harry asked shorting her last name as she quickly tried to walk to her dorm only to bump into someone. "Sorry." She mumbled quickly going to her dorm.

They all looked at each other. "That's the first she spoke." Ron said. "She spoke when we we're leaving the great hall but it was more of a rush." Ginny said as they stared at her. "You spoke to her." Harry asked. "Sorta I was letting her know dinner was over and I noticed she didn't even touch her plate and offered to take her to eat in the kitchens but she so no and that she had to go and took off." She said as they shrugged their shoulders.

She charmed her bed with a silencing spell so they couldn't hear her crying even though she has tried to stop herself from crying but couldn't stop until she finally fell asleep crying.
