???: "y-y-You don't have to leave!" *sniffle*
Y/N: "I'm sorry."
???: "We can figure something out! This doesn't have to be the end of us!"
Y/N: "I can't stay here... it's not safe. I don't want them to hurt you over this..."
???: "I'll come with you then! I'm not going to just let you walk out of my life!"
Y/N: "No. You can't come with me, please. Unlike me, you have a good past here, and a promising future too. I'd end up hating myself if I tore you away from that. And you need to keep her safe for me."
???: "n-No... Y/N... p-please."
Y/N: "Please... let me go, and live your best life... for me."

That dream again... no, that nightmare. Of the worst day of my life, when I had to leave all that I loved behind to keep them safe... I wonder how they're doing now?
I wish I could just move on, and to no longer be plagued by those memories, why must they remain so vivid in my mind...? How am I meant to move on, when all I can think of is the past?!
*knock knock*
Those damned woodpeckers are way louder than normal, jeez! I really gotta stop sleeping under trees, they are such a damned rude awakening! And for once, I was actually managing to get some good sleep!
*knock knock*
Maybe I should try and find a cave or something? Otherwise... maybe I could finally start thinking about building a little cabin hidden away in the wilderness. A permanent home would be nice. Hmmm... I could always just renovate one of those Hilichurl camps once I've cleared them out, maybe? ... huh.
*knock knock*
???: "Excuse me? Are you awake in there?"
Y/N: "?!"
Hearing a human voice immediately set off alarms in my head, and I quickly jolted up from my resting spot and— *THUNCK!*
OW! My head!!
Wait... where am I?!
This definitely isn't outside, let alone in the wilds... this is a room, a room inside of a building... and a fancy-looking one at that! Why am I in here...?
???: "Are you okay in there? I heard a loud thud, can I please come in?"
Y/N: "Who are you?! w-where am I?!"
*ka-clunk!*
The door that was being knocked on by the mysterious voice was then unlocked and opened. But the person who came through it, they were not somebody that I recognised at all... Oh!
That's right, I remember now! I got caught by those Knights from the city didn't I! So that must mean that this girl is one of them too, right? They didn't seem too bad, but still... I should probably remain wary of saying too much to them.
