* EULA'S POV *

Eira: "Yeah, they seemed a bit off yesterday, how are they doing today?"

Eula: "They... *sigh* They have yet to say another word, since last night when they said they would retire to their room early."

Eira: "They really are stubborn like that. It's really quite different to how it was when I first met them on that mountain!"

Eula: "Is that so? Hmm, you know, I recall Y/N's retelling of the events that transpired atop Dragonspine on that fateful day. But I do not believe I have ever had the fortune of hearing it from you... Might you perhaps indulge me sometime in the near future?"

Eira: "I suppose I haven't, no. I only ever told that story to that... woman, Rosaria. I, uh... I suppose I can tell you too. In return I want a renewed promise you won't tell Y/N that you have to come in here and help me change every morning and night!"

Eula: "You need not worry. I did not intend to break our original agreement, you asked for my help without letting Y/N know. Until you say otherwise, that will remain true... unless you do not trust my word?!"

Eira: "Oh, no, no! I totally trust you! I do!"

Eula: "Hmph... Regardless, you can put your arm in now."

As requested, Eira then put her one still–whole arm into the sleeve I held in place for her, allowing me to get her shirt for the today onto her so that I could then start buttoning up the front before then adjusting the other sleeve around the stump that was where Eira's other arm once was. After dealing with her arms, I then gestured for Eira to lift up her legs onto the nearby footstool, so that I could help her put on her shoes...

Eira: "It's just... you know how Y/N is... If they knew I needed help getting changed like this every morning and night, they'd worry a whole bunch and then they'd feel bad, and then I'd feel bad!"

Eula: "Did you not consider the possibility that this would happen, being on the road and all?"

Eira: "I, uh... Well, I didn't really think about it at the time, if I'm being honest! Normally I just stayed in my pyjamas most days, but Noelle would help me like this, like you are now. And with... you know... bathing... *sigh* I'm a real mess, aren't I..."

Eula: "I would have to disagree with that. You are simply lacking discipline in your remaining arm is all. Some focused exercise and training would certainly do you some good, and would give you the strength and dexterity necessary to return to a normal life without relying on the goodwill of others like you must currently. And do not forget that our Chief Alchemist, Albedo, is working on developing a replacement for you also."

Eira: "...They said they wanted to bring me with them to keep me safe, and to let me get some fresh air in safety... but I bet it's just out of pity..."

Eula: "You...! *sigh* You two really are quite similar with your self-doubting..."

Deciding not to push this conversation much further, and not knowing exactly what to change it away to, I instead focused on finishing with the laces on Eira's short boots—
