Eula: "Aaaaaaand theeeen! Well, of course I said that *hic!* Vengeance will be miiiiiiiiiine! Hehehe!"

Y/N: "I see! Yes, how dare they be so improper as to send you such unwarranted gifts of food and wine when you saved them! Don't they know who you are?!"

Eula: "YES! *hic!* See! I knew you'd understaaaaaaand! You— You really get me!" *hic!*

Y/N: "Of course! After all, we're a cut from the same cloth, that's what you said earlier, right? Now, come on, just keep leaning into me... That's it... We're almost back home now..."

Eula: "Hoooooooome? *hic!* Why are we going hoooooooome? I want to haaaaaaang out. Let's go and doooooooo... uhmmmmm, something!"

... I really ought to have taken Diona's warnings to heart more... she took me aside and told me that the few times Eula let herself get proper drunk, that she was quite a bit different to how she normally is. Not as reserved and defensive as she normally has to be.

It's actually really cute. I hope there will be a time when she can feel safe enough in her own skin to be like this when she's sober...

Eula: "The night hasn't ended yet! *hic!* I want to be with— *hic!* I wanna keep hangin' out with you, my *hic!* my friend."

Y/N: "You can barely stand as you are though..."

Eula: "Ha! I can stand just fine! Just let me go and I'll *hic!* prove it!"

Y/N: "I'm not letting you go. You'll hurt yourself if I do."

Eula: "You don't believe me?! Hmph! Then mark my words! Vengeance will be—" *hic!*

Y/N: "...I'm taking you back home now—"

Eula: "no..."

Y/N: "—But that doesn't mean we have to stop hanging out. I just want to get you back somewhere safe... And out of the public eye..."

Eula: "We can still hang out? *hic!* Heh! I like hanging out with yoooooooou... Because it's like you get me, you *hic!* really get me!"

Y/N: ". . ."

Eula: "Hey! *hic!* What's with the long face, my buddy ol' pal? Do you... do you not like hanging out with me?" *sniffle*

Y/N: "Eh? E–Eula?!"

All of a sudden, the inebriated woman who had been leaning onto me for support had then shoved me away from her. I was quick to regain my balance, having had nowhere near as much to drink as Eula — she really drank those glasses down!  However, when I turned back around to look at Eula, with confusion clearly on my face as I had no idea why she had just shoved me away, that's when I noticed just how quickly her mood had shifted...

She was currently stumbling a bit as she tried to stand on the spot, swaying from side to side as she was now without my physical support, but she was managing to stay upright at least... But she's not looking at me either, she's looking right down at the ground. And I can't see her face at all due to her hair which was hanging down in the way and blocking my view... But I could still see the many, many tears that were now falling down and away from her, landing on the floor underneath her.

Y/N: "Eula...?"

Eula: "I knew it! I knew you were just pretending! *sniffle* You hate me too, don't you! Just like everyone else in this *hic!* in this mean city!"
