As it turns out, Arlecchino did not need to lead me all that far away from the café that we were dining at just a few moments ago. To think that we had been sitting and partaking of tea and snacks whilst in eyeshot of the building that Eira, the friend that this woman had kidnapped from me, was being kept here... it was... infuriating, and I'm sure it was something she did deliberately for that reason.

I knew there was more to Arlecchino's plan than she was letting on. She gave in to my demands to have Eira returned to me too quickly. Was it because she did not think she could best me in direct combat? Or that she worried that such a scuffle might cause her to lose reputation here in Fontaine– something that she seemed to be quite hesitant to have happen, perhaps because she wants to get her grubby mitts all over the nation's politics during this strenuous time, with the 'Prophecy' supposedly picking up steam now?

Arlecchino: "Before we enter, know this. You will stay with me at all times while you are within the orphanage. If I see you go off by yourself without my supervision, I will stop you. Understand?"

Y/N: "I don't care for the rest of your orphanage. I'm just here for my friend you stole."

Arlecchino: "I am well aware that you're only here for your friend. You'd be wise to play nice nonetheless. You're in a house full of my children; I have no qualms with giving them the order to... keep an eye on you if need be."

Y/N: "I have no intention of doing anything more than retrieving Eira, whatever else you do in this place is you and Fontaine's business. Not mine."

Arlecchino: "...Fine then, that is acceptable. Come in."

With a hearty sigh from the Harbinger, she had now unlocked the front door and pushed it open before then stepping inside, once inside she then held the door open for me to continue to follow her in. Without even stepping inside I could see that this renowned 'House of the Hearth' was just that, a house. I assumed that it was likely to have a lot of bedrooms upstairs, so as to house the many children that live here, but down on the ground floor it looked like I had just stepped into an ordinary house, albeit with Fontaine architecture and furniture that I was quite unfamiliar with beyond my hotel room with Eula and Amber.

I was tempted to hesitate in stepping inside, to question whether this was a part of a trap of hers. But I knew that if she were to lay a trap for me, that it would not be at the front door of all places. So I allow myself to enter her property with a smile on my face to both thank her for holding the door open for me, but also hopefully to vex this woman somewhat. And judging by that very subtle twitch of her eye, it seemed that I had, but she would then reciprocate this smile with one of her own.

Y/N: "Thank you~"

Arlecchino: "You're welcome. Stay close by my side."
