* EULA'S POV *

Amber: "Come on Eula! The longer you drag your feet about this then the longer it's going to take for you two to get back on speaking terms! Come on! Let's head back to your place already!"

Eula: ". . ."

Amber: "Eula...?"

Walking back to my home with Amber beside me, I couldn't help but worry a little. I knew from the start that the Acting Grand Master's decision to withhold that information would end up backfiring when Y/N eventually found out what was decided to be hidden from them.

It was far too naïve to think that we might be able to deal with this issue in a manner both speedy and subtle. And now it's likely to be myself that takes the fall for that decision, as surely I cannot just palm off responsibility to the other Knights so easily? After all, I could have taken matters into my own hands and told Y/N about all of this despite the Acting Grand Master's request to not do so. But ultimately, I ended up following orders, and thus I deserve to be blamed for that which happens next...

Eula: "Let's just hurry this along, we have rounds in the morning that we should get an early night's rest for."

Amber: *sigh*

Normally, I would have questioned exactly what Amber had meant by that overly loud sigh that she replied to me with. But we now found ourselves right in front of the front door that led into mine and Y/N's residence. And... I couldn't help but feel quite nervous, something that I don't normally experience anymore– I didn't have the liberty to after all, not with my being the evil descendant of the Lawrence Family that was a proclaimed enemy of Mondstadt, and thus nought but a social pariah.

But now? Now that I'm standing here, and only but a few moments away from an altercation that I knew would be both uncomfortable to engage in as well as potentially being a wedge that was driven between what trust Y/N might still have in the Knights and... and me. I couldn't help but want to be literally anywhere else right now, and to be able to leave this mess for Amber to clean up. She is surely the best of us both in regards to these social matters, in fact, she's the better of us both in most all ways... Perhaps, if Y/N is willing to yet remain within the confines of Mondstadt despite this deception of the Knights, perhaps I should recommend that Y/N instead live with Amber in her place of residence? They would surely get along much better than—

*knock knock*

Amber: "Y/N, are you awake?"

Y/N: ". . ."

Amber: "No answer... Hey! It's me, Amber, and Eula's here with me too. We'd like to talk to you about some things, if you'd let us?"

So worried in my thoughts was I that I did not even notice that we had already made it through the front door of our residence, through the front hall, and all the way to be standing outside of Y/N's personal quarters. It was only Amber's knocking on Y/N's door that finally pierced my destructive thoughts and brought me back into the moment beside the Outrider.

Amber: "...Y/N?"

Y/N: "... the door's unlocked."

Whilst I had been brought back into reality again once more, I definitely was not quite as authoritative as I might normally be. I couldn't even bring myself to open up Y/N's door, despite their lukewarm and muffled invitation to do so. But fortunately Amber was here to help with that, and I suppose she sensed that her help was still needed, as she took the door handle in hand and twisted it so as to allow us entrance into Y/N's room.
