*chipmunk voice* forgive me? :3

"Please act normal." I sighed when I looked at Tyler who was trying to make a fortress out of a packet of straws. I'm pretty sure Jeremy needed those for a science project.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He mumbled in response, too focused on his stupid invention.
Why do I get the weird ones?
"Calm down Melly. Jake already knows how odd our family is. I mean, he's your friend isn't he?" Max remarked.
"Shutup." I stuck my tongue out just in time to hear the oven timer start to go off. Rushing to the kitchen, I grabbed the fat ass mitten and took out the pizza. I had made three already, this being the fourth.
I knew that my brothers would eat most of them as usual.
"Melly?!" Dad shouted from upstairs.
"Coming daddy!!" I replied with a shout of my own and quickly ran to his office.
"Sup?"
"Jake's coming over?"
"Uhm yeah. I invited him over."
"Any reason?"
"Not really."
"You didn't just call him to.. Ya know...?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
My eyes widened, "Dad! We're just having dinner!"
He raised his hands to my reaction, "I was just making sure kiddo!"
"Can I get ready now?" I mumbled, not liking where this conversation was going.
Dad laughed and made a little wave with his hand, indicating me to go on.
I shut the wooden door and made my way to my room. Changing into a pair of black jeans and a bright green blouse, I applied a bit makeup and fixed my hair.
"Melly!! I need help!" Tyler shouted from his room.
I took one last glance at my appearance before going towards him.
"What's up?"
"Can you help me write my speech?"
"What happened to the straws?"
"I got bored." He shrugged.
I sighed, going to sit beside him on he big bed.
"Wait! Close the door first!"
Giving him a weird look, I closed his door and finally took my seat.
After ten minutes, we were having great progress but a huge crash echoed in the house.
"Dammit Jeremy!!" Matt shouted, his voice near.
"What's going on?" I wondered out loud and was about to get up if it wasn't for Ty pulling me back.
"Nothing, they're probably working on Jeremy's science project."
"I'm pretty sure straws are incapable of making such a loud noise."
"It's a weird world." He whispered and gave me a wink.
"You're weird." I mumbled and tried getting my thoughts out of my odd brother.
"Okay, let's start."
Half an hour later we finally prepared a good speech and I laid back on the headboard, relieved.
"Thanks!!" Tyler excitedly jumped in his spot, cleaning up all the papers and books from the mattress.
"You have a study table Ty, why don't you just use it?"
