Surprise? :3
~♥~
I woke up to the light streaming from the curtains. It struck into my eyes and I sighed as I had to get out of my comfortable position to close it.
Instead of going back to bed after shutting the curtain, I decided to freshen up in the bathroom.
Putting on a pair of slippers, I walked downstairs and straight into the kitchen. It was clear that everyone was sleeping so why bother checking it out. I could just make breakfast.
It was in two hours when I heard shuffling of feet near the door. I paused making the last of the eggs and listened carefully. Before I could see who was there, Jake popped up infront of me.
"Whaaa!" I jumped a few steps back.
He smirked and walked to the fridge, taking out the orange juice carton.
"Don't do that." I fought.
"Sorry, didn't know you were such a girl."
"Newsflash Jake, I am a girl."
"Really?! No way!"
"Not funny."
"I think it is."
"You know what? I'm just going to ignore you."
"Sure you can handle that? I'm pretty irresistable."
I stared at him for a while before scoffing. He was so full of himself.
I reached upwards towards a small cabinet which had a bunch of Oreos in it. Taking one pack out, I sat on the counter, waiting for the kettle to blow.
"So, what made you so addicted to those cookies?" Jake asked kind of politely but I ignored him, eating the food in my hands.
"Oh come on! You're seriously not talking to me?"
Ignore.
"Melliiissaa?"
Ignore.
"God, you're so stubborn!"
Ignore.
"Okay then, what am I supposed to do to get you to speak to me."
Now I took a big bite of the Oreo, staring straight in his eyes, taunting him to the edge. I felt a wave of satisfaction when his shoulders tensed up a bit.
"Is sorry okay?"
"Melisssaaa?"
"Not even a sorry?"
I stared at him, maybe I can do something to help him out... Nah, this was fun.
"Please?"
"If you go back to normal, I'll take you out for dinner."
Oh that does sound fascinating..
"And we can go to the park after that.."
Oh shit.
"Uhm... What else? ... We can.." He paused to think for a while, "Got it! We can even cross the river there with the stepping rocks."
Oh gosh.
"And to top it all off, I'll say sorry once more."
I smiled, taking out my hand to seal the deal.
He shook his head, almost scowling, and shook my hand.
"Okay, since I promised, I'm sorry Melissa."
I raised my eyebrows. I couldn't raise one, it wasn't possible for me to do unfortunately.
