I woke up, still a little troubled, but I was mostly glad I didn’t get another stupid nightmare.

After getting out of bed and going to the bathroom, I changed into a pair of black skinnys and a red cap-sleeved shirt.

I walked downstairs after wearing my shoes and grabbing my bag.

“Hey.” I mumbled when I entered the kitchen.

Dad turned to me with a worried expression and handed me a plate of pancakes.

I gave him a reassuring smile and started to eat.

I hate having a foul mood in the mornings. I should be the happy morning person.

When I finished breakfast I walked out with Jeremy.

“Uhm, your car is good to work.” Jer said hesitantly.

“How? I thought it would take another week...”

“I kinda worked on it last night.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I knew what you were dreaming about. I mean, I’m your twin,” he smirked and I smiled, “Anyways, I thought you would like to be back in your car. I know how much you love being in it.”

“Thanks Jellybean.” I hugged him tightly.

He hugged back, “No problem Strawberry.”

“Alright, let’s go!” I said feeling kind of better.

We went to the garage and got in my car.

As soon as I got in I smiled. The smell of the air freshener entered my nose. Pine trees, my favorite.

When we reached school, I felt my mood getting lighter which satisfied me. I did not want to sulk all day.

“Your car’s working now?” Max asked as we both got out of the car and stood where our group was.

“Yeah, Jellybean here was being really nice.”

“What? Jeremy woke up the whole night just to fix up your car?” Cory said sarcastically.

“Yes he did.”

“Seriously?”

I nodded.

The conversation moved on and I found myself drowning into my thoughts. Thoughts about that day.

Urgh!

I haven’t been thinking about it for so long! Why did I get that stupid nightmare?

I can already feel myself back in a bad mood.

Ugh.

“Mel?” My head snapped upwards making me make eye contact with Jake’s concerned eyes.

“Huh? Sorry, I was thinking.”

“I can see that,” He chuckled, “Listen, we need to do the photography project.”

“Oh yeah, why don’t we get it over with? Come over today and we’ll choose five pictures.”

“I thought we were going to Zack’s place.”

“Fuck that. I have better pictures than him.” I shrugged.
