"Tada!" Vega hands me a dry erase board.

I smile and take it with the four-pack of different colored markers.

"Better?" she asks.

'Much Better,' I write in big blue letters.

She giggles.

I erase the words and write,

'Take me to breakfast?'

"You want to go out?"

I nod.

"Okay, do you want to change first?"

I give her a look.

"Okay, okay," she giggles.

She helps me up off the bed and helps me pick out a warm outfit. Then I take a quick shower, well as quickly as I can manage before I get dressed and she helps me into a wheelchair and wheels me to breakfast.

"Well if it isn't my favorite crippled," Dariyah says as I approach the table.

I glare at her.

She giggles.

"You okay? My energy isn't affecting you is it?" Nerissa asks.

I think about it for a second, waiting for the pain to come before shaking my head no. she sighs in relief.

"You two make up yet?" Dariyah asks.

I smile and nod.

"Congrats," Darko says.

"We made up and we are stronger than ever, nothing is going to break us apart." Vega brushes my hair back.

I smile at her.

"Hey, is there a seat available?"

I turn and watch a beautiful Spanish goddess walk up to the table.

"Hey!" Dariyah says.

I see Vega stiffen.

"Dari."

"Oh my god, what are you doing here!?" Gunner tackles her in a hug.

"I'm back." She says.

I feel the dread building.

"We missed you," Wieland and her do a secret handshake.

"For real, girl you kept it real around here." Ro hugs her.

"Nerissa." The girl says.

"Aster," Nerissa says with an equal bite.

The lights flicker before I double over in pain and wince, trying my best to hide the reaction.

"Oh, uh is she okay?" Aster asks.

"Emery, you okay?" Vega asks me.

I nod and force a thumbs up.

"Vega," Aster says.

"W-what are you doing back here? I thought—"

"Well, my other school was a drag. Plus, I missed all my friends. I just needed time to get over everything But I'm over it. No hard feelings?" she stretches her hand out to Vega.

"Yeah, of course." Vega moves and instead of shaking her hand, she hugs her.

Aster stiffens but eventually hugs her back.

"Plus," Vega pulls back. "You were so right about Mesmira. I'm so sorry about everything."

Aster smiles at her, the two stare dreamily into each other's eyes.
