 "Danni?"

 "Go away."

"It's just Amina." She comes to sit down on my bed.

"Why did he have to do that? Now, my dad is pissed. I said I crashed the car not him so he won't get in trouble for underage drinking and driving." I say angrily.

"I know, I know. He shouldn't have done that. Do you want me to get you some water?"

 I nod.

 "Okay, I'll be right back."

She leaves and I just sit there staring at the wall with a huge pout on my face.

 The door opens.

"Thank you for the water Am-." I look at the door but it's not Amina.

 I just stare at him.

"Please, just let me talk." I don't say anything and he continues. "I swear on everything I have-"

 "Which isn't a lot." I interrupt him.

"Right. I swear, Danni, I swear I didn't mean to. I thought you left me there. I was drunk and forgot what was going on."

 I just blink.

 "I'm really fucking sorry."

"Why? I took the blame for you, y'know that? Now I have to deal with my father... ugh! Why me, why me?"

"Danni, I'm really sorry. I'll pay for damage repair. I'll fix it."

 "Damn right you will."

Tears start falling out of frustration.

"Please don't cry, Danni. I hate seeing you cry."

"I think you should just leave."

 "Danni, I'm sorry."

"I just... I need to cool down, okay?"

He nods and leaves the room.

 "So?"

"She kicked me out. I feel terrible."

"She's not gonna be mad forever."

"I hope so," I trail off thinking. "I'll be back, I have an idea." I grab my keys and head to Walmart.

I get some chocolate, a teddy bear, and a vase of flowers with a blank card to write a letter.

 Dear Danni,

You're mad at me, and I deserve every ounce of your anger and disappointment. I messed up like the idiot I am. I can't even find the right words to describe how disappointed I am in myself, but please know that I am deeply sorry. I am kicking myself for the mistake I've made. I promise that from this day forward, I will strive to be more thoughtful and caring. I'm really fucking sorry. Please forgive me. <3

I hope to god she forgives me.

I walk back into her house and head to her room.

I walk in and she's already asleep. I set the gifts with the letter on her desk. I grab a few blankets and a pillow from her closet and set them up on the floor.

 Thankfully, her floor is carpeted.

"Zak." I hear someone say. "Why are you on the floor?"
