Daryl was sitting with the pups and their hellhound when a rustling in the bushes caught his attention, the dog didn't react meaning it wasn't a threat. He stood, the pups watched but didn't move, the others were busy doing other things and weren't watching him currently. He picked up his bow and followed the trail, the rustling had him interested.

Spot stayed beside the pups keeping them close.

Daryl followed the rustling further within the woods, he smiled when he saw it.

This was going to be good for the pack, he took aim and let the arrow fly. Blood spilt and the wind caught its scent pushing it back towards the camp. Shane's eyes grew wide at the smell of blood, he pushed on Rick's shoulder. The alpha males brought their heads up in surprise, Blood. There shouldn't be blood.

They headed towards where the pups were. "Where is your mother?" Rick barked, panic in his voice. Sam and Dean heard the bark and raced towards them. "Carl, where is he?"

"He followed something into the woods," Carl managed out looking over his father with a bit of concern.

"What?"

They began to grab their weapons to head towards the woods when Daryl appeared a deer thrown over his shoulder. "I got dinner for a week." He smiled as he set it down in front of the alphas. The four men stood staring at him wide eyed. "What?"

"You went off alone."

"I was hardly that far, the dog didn't move so why should I have had to worry?"

"You didn't say anything."

"If I had I would have lost the deer, I was fine. Look, see a good deer, this will feed the pack for a while."

Rick grew silent, he couldn't argue that, Daryl was right. This was going to feed the pack well, and Daryl would have wasted time by asking. The omega side stepped, Rick smiled at him softly. "You're right, I just worry about you angel."

"I am just fine. Plus the pack needs more than cereal and mushrooms."

Rick nodded in agreement, Sam smiled big. "You're right sweetheart. You did a wonderful job, Alpha and I just worry greatly about you."

Daryl nodded understanding, but he wasn't going to apologize for doing what was best for their pack. He smiled as Dean and Shane picked up the deer and headed to help skin it and serve it up. The others of the pack came around smiling and thanking Daryl, T-Dog formally introduced himself. Rick and Sam stayed close to Daryl but kept enough distance that they wouldn't upset him and make him feel he was being watched constantly.

Dale was working on the RV with Jim while Glenn and T-Dog worked on hanging the deer skin up to dry. Andrea, Lori, Amy, Carol and Jacqui were sitting together mending some clothes and blankets. Ed was sitting alone in his tent, the pups were playing happily together, the hound keeping watch. Daryl couldn't help but feel good about the situation, despite the terrors of the outside world this was going much better than anticipated. Castiel sat beside him with a smile on his face.

"The deer will be good for them."

"I sure hope so." Daryl smiled looking over to Shane and Dean who were cutting into it. The smell of cooking deer wafted into their noses, they couldn't help but smile. This was a good meal, this would be good for them. Glenn offered to do a run into the city soon to try and collect more supplies.

"I will go with you." Dean decided. "Two is better than one with those freaks out there."

Glenn nodded in agreement. "Alright. Sounds good."
