i do not own my hero academia. that series belongs to kohei horikoshi. the only characters i really "own" are any ocs i incorporate into this book. (i will also be basing this book's mc off of marvel's spider-man character, who is owned by said company, particularly stan lee and steve ditko.)
please! no spoilers! i want everyone to be able to enjoy this book... including me! so as a safe bet, tag them if you're talking about the anime, but PLEASE no comments regarding the manga! i see every comment in my notifications and emails (because i don't know how tech works oof), so just... no manga talk, please!
on that note, no disrespectful comments! if you don't like my book, that is 100% fine as i honestly don't expect my writing to appeal to every single human being's tastes, but for the love of all that is holy: don't be rude. to quote adam sandler, "I'M EXHAUSTED!"
a couple things might diverge from the original plotline so our good ole mc can shine! this also means that i'll be adding my own original spicy slice of life (and the occasional rom-com moments, of course) happenings to balance out the inevitable angst this series battered me down with.
moreover... character deaths will be kept in for this book! while i will change a few things about the plot to let mc thrive, i will still try to keep all of the major plot points intact.
on that note, my hero academia deals with potentially triggering topics which i plan to keep in while writing to keep the plot line as similar as can be. according to Does the Dog Die, a couple of these topics are dead animals, drug and alcohol usage, addiction, finger/toe/eye mutilation, torture, shaving/cutting, cannibalism, broken bones, amputation, parental deaths, children deaths, kidnapping, discussions of self-harm, anxiety attacks, gaslighting, fanservice, sexual assault, hate speech (there will be NO slurs in this book), ableist language and behavior, domestic violence, child abuse, blood/gore, gun violence. there are plenty i have certainly accidentally forgotten, but i will be interweaving these topics into this book.
this book will be a reverse harem, but if you notice a bias towards a select few of the characters (one by the name of shouto todoroki, for example)... shhhh. no you don't.
as i mentioned earlier, quite a lot about this series manages to escape my feeble mind, so there will most definitely be incorrect interpretations and plentiful misconstruings. also, there will be many typos and other such mistakes in this book, but i will try my best to minimize them! in addition, this book will contain offensive language (crass, vulgar, suggestive, mature, however you would like to describe it).
similar to my other books, i will be touching on tropes and matters originating from other source materials, but unlike some of my other books, this one will not really be a crossover. i also drew inspiration from other forms of media to craft the mc's persona.
