All This Time

Chapter 17

We headed back to Zemos place quickly after that so Sam could get his suit and we left immediately after that to the location Karli told Sam to meet her.

We didn't even try to hide when we showed up. Sam was pissed and he had every right to be. We were just right by his side.

"Karli!" Sam shouts as we walk into the building looking around for her.

We looked up and spotted her at the corner of the building by the wall just looking down at us. We followed Sam upstairs to Karli. I was behind Bucky and Sam was ahead of both of us marching towards Karli.

"You called my sister? That's how we're gonna play this?"

Bucky walks to the far right giving them space while I lean on the wall behind Sam.

"I would never hurt her. I just wanted to understand you better," She responds calmly like it's no big deal.

Her attitude makes me wanna knock some sense into her.

"I see you, um, didn't come alone," She says looking at Bucky and back at me.

"You have to end this now."

"I don't want to hurt you," She says sincerely. "You're just a tool in the regimes I want to destroy. You're not behind a shield. If I were to kill you, it'd be meaningless."

Sam looks at Bucky and back at me unsure.

"I was gonna ask you to join me, or do the world a favor and let me go."

It stays quiet for a bit until I notice Sam looking down at his little camera.

"Walker," He tells Bucky looking back.

Bucky jumps over the railing but just before he hits the ground I watch as Karli jumps, charging at him and knocks him down. Sam flies down to help and I jump over to the wall to slide down quickly to Bucky and Sam.

Sam goes to punch her but misses and after she gets a hit in he spins and kicks her to the wall.

"I'll send you the location, go!" Sam says to Bucky as he hurries off to find and stop John.

I follow behind Bucky.

We race down the streets heading towards the location I'm guessing Sam sent him.

As we sprint down the streets I notice how fast Bucky is. I'm not nearly as quick as him but I'm quicker than I would've thought. Makes me glad I didn't stop running, even when I stopped training for a bit. Running, however, has always stuck by me, and now it's showing.

I don't think he knows I'm behind him seeming as I watch from a good distance as he runs into an empty-looking building leaving me behind. I run after but when I get in I'm not too sure which way he went.

"Damn, this place is big."

I make the decision and take a left running up the stairs quickly.

As I hurry up I hear grunting the more I get to the top floor.

I can feel my heartbeat quicken the closer I get.

"Bucky?!"

As I get upstairs I walk into John and Sam fighting off about four guys.

I rush in and jump, kicking one across the room.

I start fighting him off trying to punch him in the face, kick him, anything really but he's too strong.
