The Twins Swap Bodies Pt:3

Ritchie's POV

I took a deep breath, shutting the door behind me and sliding to the floor. Tears streamed down my cheeks. I can't handle this. I can't handle being strong, pretending to be okay. Pretending that everyone likes me. Nobody likes me anymore, besides maybe Devin. Everyone hates me for what I did. I can't say I blame them, they have every right to be angry I just...I just want things to go back to the way they were. Before Brandon disappeared, before I made stupid mistakes. Before I killed Tapio. Before I ruined the guild...My vision was blurry. Someone said my name over and over but it was so muddled I couldn't tell who. The tears just kept coming.

I blinked, opening my eyes. My body has relaxed and my face was irritated from the tear stains. I rubbed my eyes. I feel warm...wait...I'm being held. Who's holding me? Brandon...wait. Did we switch back? It looks like it. "Brandon." I questioned. He opened his eyes, humming. "Yes Brother?" He asked. I sigh, leaning into him. "I'm sorry...I got emotional there." I apologize. He shakes his head. "No need for that, just tell me why you were crying." He demanded. I blinked, looking down. "Brandon...am I selfish?" I ask. He blinks. "Of course you are. Everyone's selfish. But you also look out for your guild. Sure you made mistakes but everyone does. If they can't see that then they're idiots." He says, pulling me into a hug. I blink. He always knows what to say. He always knows how to cheer me up. I can't say I'm not a little jealous. He knows how to keep his cool, he's never made mistakes like I have, everyone loves him. He's great and I'm so proud.

I blink. Brandon had called a guild meeting and everyone came. I am a little nervous.Having Brandon stand up for me is a bit embarrassing. "What are we doing here?" Lucas asked. Brandon sighed. "I want all of you to apologize to Ritchie!" He announced loud and clear. My face heated up. Silence. "What are we apologizing for?" David asked. Lucas punched him in the arm. "Idiot! We're apologizing for how we treated him." He said. Brandon nodded. "That's right. It's come to my attention that you haven't been the nicest to my brother. I understand he made a mistake but he's doing his best to make up for it, to earn back your trust. He's working so hard so you need to at least give him a chance." He said, voice firm. They talked amongst themselves, reaching a decision. Lucas stood. "Of course we'll give you a chance Ritchie. I apologize for our behavior before." He said. I nodded. "I understand." I said quietly.

After that things got better. Kit still wasn't the biggest fan of me but that's to be expected. Besides that people have stopped looking at me weirdly and I've certainly gotten closer with Devin. Everything's good.

"So...what do we do about the bet?" I questioned my brother. He shrugged. "Guess we'll have to settle this challenge some other way." He chirped, winking at me. I laugh. "Oh you're on!."
