The Twins Swap Bodies Pt:2

Brandon's POV

I hummed, walking into the guild hall, well the meeting section of it anyways. My brother had gone off somewhere else, apparently trying out my abilities since they seem to be working just fine. It's strange to have the tingly feeling of electricity coursing through my body. It helps that I'm around Ritchie a lot so I'm used to his magic on the outside but it's like being shocked from the inside. I'm sure it doesn't affect Ritchie, if it did it would be a problem. I'm just not used to this magic. I wonder how he's fairing with mine. Anyways. Currently Lucas, David, and Devin were here in the room. They looked up upon my entry. "Oh hey Ritchie!" Devin chirped. David glanced at me but looked away. Lucas gave me a small smile but the look his eyes gave me was something I couldn't quite place. I went over to Devin. I know he likes Ritchie, it's painfully obvious. I'm sure my brother feels the same but he hides it well. Sure he shows that he cares but it could just be seen as care for a friend. In truth he cares for Devin about as much as he does me.

Well that was interesting. I can't say it was easy to act like Ritchie. He shows more emotion then I do. Luckily nothing too interesting happened. I'm still interested though, with David ignoring me and the look Lucas gave me. Just what do they think of my brother? I thought the only one still mad at Ritchie was Kit. I guess...it's not as easy to forget as it is to forgive. I shouldn't be surprised. I just never thought of it, from my point of view it seemed that they were more okay with Ritchie. Maybe they only act like that when I'm not around? I can't really ask them, I'll have to wait and ask my brother. This is definitely something I want to get to the bottom of. If the guild is looking down on Ritchie then I can't just stand by. He acts tough but he's actually really sensitive and scared to lose the people around him. That's why he gets so upset when someone threatens his friends he doesn't think rationally. If I know my brother then he's beating himself up over what he did more than anyone else is.

Ritchie's POV

I sighed, gliding through the air. I've always wanted to fly. It's so nice to be able to travel without worrying about landforms in the way, sure I can teleport but it's still not as fast as this. Plus, teleporting actually takes up more mana then flying. It's also rather peaceful up in the sky. No wonder Brandon's always so calm. I sighed, deciding to finally land. Actually, it just so happens that where I decided to land was also where Kit and Mario were. They looked up when I got closer. They smiled at me, not a hint of resentment in their eyes. "Hey Brandon." Kit greeted. I gave her a small smile. "Hello Kit, Mario. What are the two of you up to?" I asked. Mario hummed. "I was just advising Kit on how to use her new abilities better." He said. I hummed, turning to Kit. "Oh yes, how's that going?" I asked. She shrugged. "Polly's training methods are odd but I have learned some cool things." She chirped. Kit...I'm glad she's doing well. Getting stronger. I'll probably never stop regretting my actions that day. "Brandon?" Mario questioned. I blinked. "Huh?" I jumped. "You were zoning out, you okay?" Kit questioned, worried. I shook my head. "I'm fine, no need to worry." I assured. She smiled. "Good, we need you in tip-top shape to lead this guild." She said. I frowned. "What about my brother?" I asked. Her eyes sharpened. "You really think he's fit to lead?" She asked. Mario sighed. "Kit, calm down." He urged. She shook her head. "No. He's nothing but a selfish idiot who only cares about what he wants and not the needs of his guild." She snapped. I stepped back. Is that really what she thinks of me? No, more importantly. Is that really what I'm like? Am I really that awful? "I...I should go." I say, completely breaking character but I honestly don't care at this point. I need to go and talk to Brandon. They blinked. "Yeah, I'm sorry about her. I understand being uncomfortable after she talked so badly about your brother." Mario said. Kit huffed. "I only said the truth!" She exclaimed. I gave them a small smile. "I'll see you two later." I said before pushing myself up into the air again. I wonder how Brandon's doing...
