Of course, I'm not even going to try and say it's a normal day. Because it's not. Actually it's a horrible day. The reason for this is simple. The government has decided to pass a new law. If only there was some kind of document to protect peoples rights in this world. But we don't have anything like that so nothing can prevent the government of Alantide from restricting the rights of its citizens.

This time they have gone as far to pass a law, preventing all female, or female born people from joining a guild.

The guilds were in chaos. On one hand they're angry but on the other hand, if they tried to go against the government they would all just end up in jail, then there would be no one around to protect Alantide. They're only chance was to try to come to some sort of compromise, at the very least, through legal means. This was a job for the protectors, being the ones who best understood the law as well as the ones with the best reputation.

Considering Grimshade is a bunch of assassins, the Wandering Coins are thieves and falling apart, and Divinus Magia is a band of ex-criminals with a certain member that has had several fines due to public indecency.

Yeah, if anyone can fix this mess it will be Bri and her feline second in command, the mighty Lo'fo.

It's also good to have a male and female in this situation considering how doubtful it is that these idiots would listen to the words of Bri alone after what they just did. So here we are, Bri and Lo'fo standing before the rotten men who did this. Along with a few females in the group, possibly some non-binary's but unless someone went around asking for every single one of their pronouns then we wouldn't know. Regardless, considering the girls here were greatly outnumbered by the guys it was quite obvious why this law was able to pass, it's doubtful that the women would have wanted it considering it was taking away women's rights.

Several of the guild members, including all of the girls, and a few townsfolk were there to provide moral support to Bri and Lo'fo. Everyone in the city knows what great work Bri and her guild has done for them. And all though the other guilds are more...strange. They all understand that the wizards are the ones who protect them to the best of they're ability. Sure they don't really help things like poverty but that's not what the guilds are for, it should be the government's job to fix problems like that. At least the wizards protect their homes from being turned to dust the best they can. At least they do something.

Bri sighed, preparing herself for a long day. "Ahem, I assume you all know why I stand before you today but I would like make myself clear." She stated. "Although there are no written documents, no listing of rights for the people, we are humans, we are all equal. That is my belief anyways. I stand here today because you of the court have passed a law to prevent those born female from joining a guild. I do believe that this is an unfair law and should be terminated. However, I am open to compromise if you are willing." She said calmly. One of the men chuckled. "Listen here girly, I'll go ahead and strike you a deal. You see, I'm the one who proposed this law to begin with so how about this. If you manage to convince me, we'll terminate this law." He said, looking at his colleagues. "Does that seem fair to everyone here?" A few murmurs of agreement were his response. Bri smiled. "Well then, is there any limit to what methods I can use?" She asked. He hummed. "Well, you can't threaten me but besides that I'd say all methods are on the table."

After contemplating what to do, Lo'fo spoke up. "As I'm sure you know, Bri here is the guild master of the Protectors guild. She is a powerful mage and has defended Alantide many times. Sure she could continue to do so without a guild but the point of a guild is to work together to protect people, some people think it's just about money and sure it comes with some rewards but the true essence of a guild is the togetherness and the friendship between people of all kinds." He said, his words powerful. The man rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes, that may be true but you can still have that without women." He said. Lo'fo sighed. Suddenly a small child ran up to the stand, jumping up. Everyone turned to her. She frowned. "You know, you're really mean mister. I wanted to join a guild but daddy told me I can't because of you!" She exclaimed at the man. Another young girl came up beside her. "Yeah, I can't believe you uncle!" She screamed at the man. The man's face dropped. "Oh uh...Lucy...um. I mean. Of course. This law will be terminated at once." He suddenly said, seeming rather nervous. Bri blinked. Several people were shocked. All it took was two children to change this guys mind. How Ironic.

And so, everything returned to normal. Rumor has it that the mother of the child who the man called Lucy was actually the man's sister, hence why the girl called him 'uncle'. The man had suddenly disappeared after that. Some theorize that Grimshade assassinated, some say he was scared and ran away. Guess we'll never know.
