The helicopter just took off, I watched in the distance as the cars that Street and the others caught a ride in drove off. I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding.

"Everything alright Chris?" Deacon questioned in concern.

"Yeh just pleased to be heading home, I bet you can't wait to see Annie and the kids" I replied trying to change the subject.

"Yeh after a day like this there's nothing I would rather do than see them" Deacon said with a smile.

"It truly brings to light what is important when you have a day like this" Miguel stated.

His words brought a slight lump to my through as I realised the thing most important to me I can't even be with.

We spent the rest of the time in silence all I could think about was Street, I couldn't help it days like this make it hard follow my policy on the rules. Lost in my thoughts I didn't realise we were outside the hospital about to land on the roof.

Deacon was first to step out the doctors and nurses waiting to bring us in. Miguel and the officer got off the chopper and Deacon helped me down. We all made our way into the hospital, we each all had separate doctors to treat our wounds.

I was taken into a separate room so they could do some tests on my leg. After what felt like forever I was done with the tests and was waiting on results.

Streets pov

I just Finnished some paper work reporting the events of the day which felt like a never-ending story. My patients was wearing thin not that I have much of it to start with but I just wanted to get out of here and see Chris.

Finally I signed the last bit and strated making my way out when Hondo pulled me.

"Good work out there but next time wait till I give the order before you shoot" Hondo said slightly concerned.

"It won't happen again I just saw red at that point if you need to tell Hicks..." I didn't Finnish and Hondo stopped me.
"That's not necessary just don't fall back into old habits ok" Hondo stated remembering what I was like when I first joined swat,  when I used to do what I wanted most of the time. But I'm not like that anymore and a big part of that is because of Chris she was the one who got my head straight. Also like Mumford tried to teach me to keep my head on a swivel, Chris taught me how.

I really needed to see her now she was the only thing holding me together. I told Hondo I had to go little did he know I was on my way to the hospital. I got onto my bike and started making my way to the hospital probably a little faster than I should have but I didn't care nothing was going to stop me from getting there.

I was still waiting on results when my door opened, I thought it was the doctor but then in walked Street.
