back at work

Chris's pov

It had been a week since Street came over I hadn't heard much from him I know I upset him. I hated myself for the way I was making him feel I just didn't know what to do anymore I wanted to be with him I did but I had to think of my career. I worked to hard to get where I am. 

I got lost in my thoughts and I looked at the time, I was aloud back at hq today but not on the field yet as my leg wasn't completely healed but I was pleased to get back doing something. I was worried how Street was going to act around me though.

At hq
Streets pov

I was getting ready in the locker room I knew Chris was returning to hq today I was nervous on seeing her after last week at her apartment I don't really know how to act around her.

I was lost in thoughts when Tan came in.
"Hey man how's it going" I asked
"No complaints what about you I heard from Luca you had a big date or something the other night"
"No that was, probably not gunna work out" I replied in disappointment.
"Too bad Luca said he'd never seen you so happy to go out"
"Yeh well it's not going to work" I snapped. I didn't mean to it just came out, I shook my head and walked out of the locker room.

As I was walking through to the armoury I glanced over and saw Chris making her way to the locker room. She turned and saw me stood there, we just stared at each other and smiled. I continued waling to the armoury and let out a sigh.

When I turned back Chris was gone I started working on one of the guns that got damaged in one of the missions.
I thought to myself if only I could fix my relationship with Chris like I could fix this gun.

Chris's pov

I was working on the screens in hq and Luca came in.

"Hey Chris good to see you back" he yelled.
"Good to see you haven't lost any energy"
"Ha definitely not, hey have you seen Street yet"
"Um not much of him why"
"It's just he's been quiet the last week can't really get much out of him, I figured cause you two are close you might know what's up with him"
My heart sank at what Luca said I knew exactly what was wrong but I couldn't say anything.
"I don't know he hasn't told me anything, I'll try talking to him" I replied.
"Good he seems to listen to you, I don't know what's up with him he was so happy when he went out the other night but when he came back he didn't speak he just went straight in his room like a teenager" Luca said
"I'll try talking to him"

Streets pov

I had been in the armoury most of the day, I was concentrating on fixing one of the guns when I could see Chris coming towards me.
"Hey can we talk" she asked
"I guess we've both got mouths right"
"Ok listen I'm sorry about the other night I just had a really bad day, the day before and I wanted, all I needed was to talk to you" Chris said.
I didn't say anything I just looked at the gun.
"I don't know what to do anymore Street that day at that town I was frightened not for myself but for you. I was frightened because I didn't want to leave you." Chris said with a lump in her throat.
"I don't want to fight about this anymore Chris" I told her.
"Me neither, I miss you talking to you can't we go back to that" Chris asked.
"Yeh I've missed you too this past week"
