"he wouldn't be the only one"

Chris pov

It had been another week and I was back on full duty as my leg had healed. I was so excited for my first day back in the field.
We were all on the mission apart from Deacon who went on a family vacation.

We were all on a stake out waiting for a package to be delivered I was on container in my sniper position I could see Street looking up at me. It made me feel safe that he was always there.

It was going down the suspects had just shown up bullets were flying everywhere, the suspects were about to get away but Street got on a truck and dropped a crate to stop them from getting away. We all arrested the suspects and put them in the car.

"Show off" I said to Street
"Always" he replied
"Where's the agent" Hondo questioned in concern
"I'll go look for her she should see them get taken away" Tan said

"AGENT DOWN" Tan yelled
Tan and Luca carried the agent to black Betty and rushed her to the hospital, the rest of the team made their way back to hq.

At hq Tan returned in Chris was walking out of the armoury and spotted him.
"Hey how's the agent?" Chris asked in concern.
"She's going to make a full recovery the doctors said but it's not just her"
"What do you mean"
"She's pregnant, she didn't want to tell anyone she's never the time not to Finnish a mission"
"Oh god that's awful, is something else going on with you"
"It's just better to be here than at home"
"What do you mean, did something happen at home"
"It's Bonnie she had a miscarriage a few days ago"
"Oh Tan I'm sorry how you holding up"
"It's fine we only found out she was pregnant a week ago, Bonnie is the one that really went through it I'm just trying to be there for her check in when I can you know"
"Yeh if you need anything"
"Yeh I know thanks I'll be fine"
Tan walked away and Chris stood staring at him, it couldn't have happened to a nicer couple she thought to herself. Sometimes the world can be so unfair.

Street's pov

In the locker room I was taking to Luca and Tan about him and Bonnie.
"I had no idea man I'm so sorry if you need anything we're always here for you" Luca saud
"Yeh thanks I'm not looking for sympathy I'm fine" Tan said and walked out of the locker room.

Chris walked in.
"What you guys taking about"she asked
"Tan and Bonnie" I said
"Oh I know it's awful he told couldn't have happened to a better couple" Chris cried
"At least they have each other to get through it, they would have made a lovely family" Luca said
"Yeh it would have been a big step for them, they might try again in the future" Chris said
"What about you Luca you ever think about starting a family?" Street asked.
"I don't know I guess it all depends on the person your with" Luca stated
Me and Chris looked at each other with Lucas statement. I always wanted a family to do better than my parents did, and with Chris I couldn't imagine someone better to have a family with but I don't know if it'll ever happen.
"Hey I gotta go black Betty needs some attention see yous later" Luca said and left.

Me and Chris were left alone in the locker room.
"It sucks for Tan, him and Bonnie he'd make a great father" I said to Chris.
She was about to leave and she turned around and said "he wouldn't be the only one"
