"better bring pizza"

Chris pov

I woke up my leg still in pain from the day before. I got up and took some pain killers the doctor gave me.
I made myself a coffee, as I was making it I realised that Street was coming over tonight. I looked around to see if anything needed tidying. God I was being ridiculous he'd been over before what's the big deal.

I Finnished my coffee and I decided to text Street and ask him if he was still coming tonight.

Streets pov

I was in the locker room getting my uniform on I couldn't help but think about tonight.
"Hey guys looks like we got a quiet day just waiting on calls" Hondo stated
"At least Chris isn't missing anything exciting while she's off" Tan stated
"She'll be pleased about that" Deacon said.

We all smiled in agreement when my phone buzzed. It was Chris.

Texts
Chris: hey I know your probably busy, just wondering if you still coming over tonight.
Street: yeh wouldn't miss it, how you feeling today?
Chris: I think the pain of not being out in the field with you guys hurts more than my leg
Street: aha I bet everybody misses you
Chris: everybody does huh
Street: yeh

"Gotta call hostage situation let's roll" Hondo shouted.

Street: just gotta call in gotta roll see you tonight
Chris: Ok be safe and you better bring pizza 
Street: aha I will

We were all in black Betty with the exception of Chris, it just didn't feel right being here without her. I smiled at my phone thinking about tonight rereading the messages.

"You with us there kid" Hondo questioned.
"Yeh of course" I gasped
"Big grin like that you got a new girl or something" Luca asked
"No can't someone just be happy aren't we nearly here" I tried to move the conversation.
"Yeh 60 seconds out" Luca shouted.
"Fine play boy, fill the gaps stay liquid" Hondo said.

After what was meant to be a quiet day turned out longer than expected but I was still pumped for tonight. I got changed straight away when we got back to hq which is probably the quickest I've ever gotten changed in my life.

"That was quick" Luca said with curiosity
"What do you mean?" I questioned
"I mean I've barely just parked black Betty and your changed already" Luca said
"Well you care too much about that truck see you later" I laughed
I made my way out of the locker room.
"Hey where are you headed?" Luca asked
I was already out of the locker room before I could answer which I was relieved about.

I got on my bike and raced to Chris's apartment. I walked into the building complex and made my way up. I finally reached Chris's door, I knocked and soon after she opened the door.

"Hey come on in" Chris said with excitement.
