I can't

Street's pov

We just came back from a mission and the whole team and myself were doing a team debrief.
I could feel Chris's eyes on me so I looked up and smiled.
"Am I disturbing you there kid" Hondo joked.
"No not at all" I replied
"Ok then, great work again today but we have a big mission tommorrow so make sure you get plenty of rest Hicks said that we are going after someone who used to make bombs for the army so I need everyone on full alert tommorrow" Hondo said with confidence in the team.
"We won't let you down boss" Chris stated.
We all said our goodbyes and made our ways to the car park.
I watched Chris get into her truck she looked towards me as if she wanted to tell me something but she put her head down and started her truck. I got on my bike and let out a breath and drove home.

Chris's pov

I was driving home and all I could think about was Street I swear that guy has got a certain hold over me. I got to my buildings car park and parked my car, but then for some reason I started the car again and was making my way to Streets. I don't even know why I never even thought about it, it was just like my body made the decision for me.

I was parked outside of Streets house I was just sat staring at the house for about five minutes. I could see that Lucas truck wasn't there he must have been at his brothers. I got out of my car and made my way to the door without thinking I started knocking.
Street opened the door.

"Hey didn't expect to see you, not that I'm not pleased about it" Street said with a smile.
"Yeh I didn't expect to be here myself can I come in?" I asked a little nervous.
"Of course, Luca went to see his brother I think something's wrong with his car and you know what Lucas like when it comes to fixing things especially cars"
I smiled "ha yeh any minor thing and he'll be there" I laughed.
"Do you want something to drink or something?" Street asked
"No I'm ok thanks though I just wanted to see you I don't know I think it might have been what Hondo said about tommorrow" I said nervously
"What do you mean" Street questioned.
"It's just I always get nervous when we go after people who make bombs and things I don't know I just have a weird feeling about tommorrow, oh god I'm being stupid I'm gunna go"
As I was making my way to the door Street grabbed my arm.
"Don't be silly there's always risks on a mission and with someone who makes bombs there's always more risks you have every reason to be nervous about tommorrow the whole team is. Even me but I know with you having my back all the time I feel safe"

"You always know what to say don't you"
We both smiled at each other him hand still on my arm, he made me feel safe too all the time when he was around.
"I should get going we do have a busy day tommorrow and we need to be at 100%" I said
Street moved his hand and sighed
"Yeh ok I'll see you tommorrow" he said I could see the disappointment in his face.
"Look I know I shouldn't have come here tonight" I said
"It's not that it's just it's not fair you know, I don't want to get into this again" Street let out.
He started walking away from me.
"You think it's easy for me Street seeing you everyday and not being able to be with you" I said a little louder than I probably should have.
"Of course I don't think it's easy for you but I don't know what you want me to say Chris" he cried
"I don't know what to say myself I just know I'm so miserable right cause I want to be with you and I can't"
Street looked at me and we made our way closer to each other, we looked at each other as if we were going to kiss. We were about to and then the front door opened. It was Luca.

Me and Street quickly moved apart.

"Hey Chris what are you doing here" Luca asked.
"Just couldn't sleep, feeling a little nervous about tommorrow I guess" I said quick in response.
"Oh me too but we all got each others backs I brought pizza back do want some"
"Thanks but I should be going busy day tommorrow and all" I said and made my way to the door.
"Ok see you then" Luca said
I opened the door and glanced back at Street who looked confused and happy at the same time about what was just about to happen.
I went out the door and made my way to my truck what was I doing I almost just broke the rules. But with Street it's getting harder and harder to follow them.

Street's pov

"Is she ok" Luca asked
"Yeh just freaked about tommorrow perfect timing by by the way" I said said and let out a breath
"What do you mean" Luca questioned
"I mean pizza I'm starving" I answered but I meant his timing to walk in when Chris was here, like his timing before when she admitted that she couldn't loose me either.
