future part 2

Chris' pov

I just told Hicks that I'm pregnant I know it was only a few seconds but it felt like an eternity before he spoke.

"Wow didn't expect that hey congratulations" Hicks said and came over and hugged me.
"Thank you um didn't know how'd you react"
"Well not going to lie not having one of my best on the field is upsetting but you deserve any life you chose for yourself with a family" Hicks said
"Thank you sir"
"I know you'll hate me for it but I want you to start desk duty straight away I don't want to take any chances. Even if you stay at hq and make a few calls through coms to your team when they're out in the field" Hicks said
"Yeh of course hey it might be fun telling the team what to do for a change" I joked
"I'm pretty sure you're already the boss of the team"
We both laughed
"You can start calling some shots today your team's already rolled out so I'll let you know when they have something but here's the drug case they're working on"
"I'll get caught up with it all" I said as he handed me a folder.
"If you ever need any time off or anything let me know I don't know what your plans are but keep me updated and congratulations again"
I was surprised at his reaction he seemed thrilled at the news.
"And Alonso" I was about to leave and Hicks stopped me "whatever you chose for your future in your career and personal life you know that everyone here will back you up whatever you choose and I'm also not blind I'll congratulate street when I see him"
I was shocked at what he just said were we really that obvious that we can't even hide it from our captain. "I um how"
"Look I was a little stepped back when I first realised but after everything both of you have been through and I have noticed the past few months I've never seen two people glow as much as the pair of you"
"Wow sir that's pretty deep for you"
"Yes well I mean it I'm happy for the both of you but in seriousness I know you'll be out of the field for a awhile and we have some time to figure things out but I can't have the both of you on the same team not in the field it's too risky on judgment calls"
"I know we've got alot of things to figure out thanks again commander"

I left his office and entered has main computer room. I couldn't get over Hicks' reaction I was mostly expecting him to lose his head at me especially the fact that he knows who the father is. Everything is just falling into place it made me more excited to tell the rest of the team I know we still have a lot to go through but I don't think I've ever been more excited for the future.

Street's pov

We just rolled back into hq we were still in deep with the drug case but I can't lie my mind wasn't on the job I just kept thinking about the past 24 hours I was starting to get a life I always dreamed of.

"You gunna spill on why you've had that grin on your face all morning" Tan asked
"Just happy to be near you Tan" I joked.
The team laughed and we rolled into hq I immediately saw Chris working on the monitors through suspects on the case. Everything she did was just admiring to me I didn't think it was possible but I loved her a little more within every minute.

The whole team gathered round.
"Hey Chris what your stuck at hq all day" deac asked
"Yeh um new thing I'm setting up wanted her to have a little control up in here for a bit" Hicks said and winked at Chris' on his way out.
I guess Chris told him he looks happy for her I can't wait for the team finding out.
"So Chris what's up" Hondo asked
"Like the boss said new thing he wants to try out" Chris said.
The whole team looked confused but they brushed it off and got back to the case. "So the dealer you guys brought in is low in the ranks but answers to this guy goes by "speed" think he's the boss in all this" Chris brifed the team.
"Ok we got an address on this "speed" guy" Luca asked
"Been going through trying to find something has a girlfriend in south LA through the files we got on him that's where he's mostly like to be. You guys should roll out I'll text the address" Chris said and the team made there way to the motor pool I hanged back a bit.
"Copy that future mam" I whispered to Chris. I looked around and the team was already out of site I lifted Chris' hand and placed it into mine. "You have to go they'll be waiting of you"
"I know I just wanted to know how it went with Hicks he seemed happy for you when he was here"
"Yeh he was happy when I told him I was surprised I actually think he made me more excited about this whole thing" Chris said
"Wow that's amazing"
"And actually he knows your the father and he seemed happy for the both of us"
"That's unbelievable I mean great everything's just falling into place"
"Yeh he did say we had some things to figure out but other than that he's thrilled for us makes me more excited to tell the whole team"
"Yeh can't wait for tonight"
"Now you got to go the team will be waiting" Chris said slightly pushing me "ok ok I'm going love you" I said and started walking away. "Love you too" Chris said I turned around and smiled at her.

I made my way back to the motor pool and inside black Betty.
"Take your time man" Tan said
"Sorry I'm here let's go"
"Is there something going on we should know about" deac asked
"Let's get the job done and Chris wants you guys to go to her place tonight she's got some big news to tell you all can't say anything till then" I said and we rolled out of the hq motor hole.

Chris' pov

After spending the day at hq I was getting more excited to tell the team the news tonight. The team were on their way back they got the criminal and we're ready to close the case it felt like the day was never going to end.

"Hey been looking for you how you feeling" Street walked into the kitchen in hq.
"Hey yeh good, great actually spending the whole day here wasn't as bad as I thought desk duty was going to be" I said and walked over to him.
"Ha can't lie missed you out there today" Street said and started stroking my shoulders.
"Missed you too" I gave Street quick kiss.
"Um what gets me through the day" Street said 
"Ha where's the rest of the team" I asked
"They went to go get out of the tack gear I told them to all come to your apartment tonight if you still want to tell them all"
"Of course that's all I've been thinking of all day, you should go get changed too"
"Is that an offer" Street laughed
"Go I'll meet you at my truck"

Luca's pov

Street had already gone I'm guessing to catch a ride with Chris. Me and the rest of the team were making our way to our cars. We were making our way out and we all saw Chris and Street getting in her truck.
"Those two aren't even trying to hide it anymore are they" Hondo said
"What do you mean" I asked
"Come on Luca everyone knows pretty much had bets on from when it was going to happen" tan replied.
"No idea what you guys are talking about" I said
"Luca you were never good at lying come on" deac pushed.
I tried to hold back but couldn't anymore I've been dying for someone else to know about them two.
"I couldn't say anything I wanted them to work it out their way I think this is why they want the whole team to go to Chris' place tonight to tell everyone"
"Luca you did right by them I think everyone found out on their own" Hondo said
"Yeh so let's go see how they come clean"
We laughed and made our ways to Chris' apartment.

Chris' pov

Me and Street were in my apartment I just ordered a few pizzas I was staving guess I can get used to that.

"The team should be here soon" I said to Street we were sat on the couch his arm around me I felt so at peace around him.
"Nevouse" he asked
"A little bit mostly excited" I said, Street put his hand on my cheek and brought me closer we started kissing until there was a knock on the door.
"Here we go" I said and pecked street before I got up and answered the door, the whole team was here.
"Hey come on in guys thanks for coming over" I said and the guys entered.
"Hey brought some beers" tan said and handed me them
"Oh thanks tan I've ordered a few pizzas hope you guys are hungry" I said and closed the door.
Street handed the beers out.
"You not having one Chris" Hondo asked
"No um actually I wanted me and Street wanted to talk to you guys about something" I said and Street made his way and stood next to me.
"Well you've got our attention" deac said and all the guys looked at each other all giddy.

Something was off did they already know we were together.
"Well the thing is me and Chris" street started talking but I cut him off.
"You all know don't you" I said
"Know what" deac said with a grin
I darted towards Luca
"I didn't say anything I swear they figured it all out on their own" Luca said
"You two aren't that good at hidding it the way you two act around each other" Hondo said
"Ok so I dosent bother any of you" I said
"Why would it I think the both of you deserve to be happy and you both seem happiest when your together" deac said
"Absolutely you deserve each other I don't think I've ever met two people more perfect for each other" tan said and the others nodded in agreement.
"Thanks guys it really means a lot" Street said and put his arm around me.

"To Chris and Street" Hondo said for a cheers
"To Chris and Street" the whole team tapped their beers together.
"Here Chris grab a beer" Luca said
"Actually" I began to say and there was a knock at the door.
"Must be the pizza I'll get it" Street said
"Good I'm starving" I said and deac looked at me with a weird look.
Street brought the pizza on the table so everyone could help themselves. Deac was still looking at me.

"No way no way" deac said, Jesus how'd he know I guess after 4 kids you know when someone's pregnant.
"No way what what's wrong" Luca said
"Well there was something else we wanted to tell all of you" Street said
Deac started smiling while the others looked confused.
"I'm pregnant" I said it felt like a wait of my shoulders I was so happy to finally tell them.
